"Jean," Xavier said, "perhaps I can use my telepathy to disorient Binary if you can get me a little closer."
"All right, Professor," Jean agreed, TKing his hoverchair forward. Professor X reached forth with his mind but somehow Binary's cosmic awareness allowed her to fend off his probes.
"I am sorry, Carol," Storm said, "but if you attack one X-Man, you take on all of us!" Suddenly dark clouds rolled in and a blinding flash of lightning struck Binary.
Binary hovered in mid-air, a bit staggered, but still very much in the fight.
He disappears and reappears next to Hawkeye causing the archer to flinch.
"Xavier is our greatest threat," Vision notes and solar blasts from his eyes hit Xavier's chair.
"Professor, are you all right?" Cyclops asks after Charles recovers from the attack.
"Blast it!" Xavier says, "The most dangerous one for me is the Vision. His andriod mind is incapable of being read. I should have seen that attack coming."
Then a hollow tiny voice is heard by all, "We do not wish this fight, X-Men. The Beast is a fellow Avenger, most of the rest of you are close allies. We would prefer you to surrender."
"Vizh," Beast says, "Since we're so close and all, how 'bout you surrender? I mean do ya really expect the X-Men to have less honor than the Avengers?. Or to believe our cause is less just?"
"No," the Vision replies immediately, "I do not. Sadly then our course is plotted already."
"How eeirliy frightful. An andriod peace negotiator," Emma Frost says, "Can we surrender now before he starts reciting his badly written teenage-robot-angst poetry?"
Cyclops will try to hit Binary again. AV7 against DV14 +1, needs an 8. Gets 5.
Logan to N20

Professor X will push to MC Binary again, AV9 on DV14, needs a 5. Gets an 8. He'll have Binary attack Justice. AV8 on DV 15+1 for hindering. Need an 8, only gets 4. Xavier takes 1 more.

Cyclops took another shot at Binary, but she swooped out of the way easily. Being distracted by Cyclops left her vulnerable to Xavier's telepathy, however. For a moment she was disoriented and turned her stellar bolts on Justice. She was grateful to see that the rookie Avenger was able to throw up a telekinetic shield to protect himself.
Wolverine moved up to the Beast. "We ain't doin' that well," he admitted.
"We're not doing poorly either," the Beast argued. And besides, we don't have to defeat them, just distract them long enough for me to get through that portal." With that the Beast loped off to confrom the Scarlet Witch.
"Hank," she greeted him.
"Wanda," he replied. "I..."
"I understand, Beast. Both teams are only doing what they have to. No hard feelings. Either way, I hope," she said, starting to conjure a hex.
You forgot to show Beast's 3 clicks to damage from Binary last time. Already tough to keep track of damage 1 actually did to your team. So far I've hit Beast, Cyke and the Prof. And you've practically taken Binary out of the game.
Justice to F13.
Hawkeye attacks Beast. Needs 7 with hindering, rolls 7. 2 more to Beast.
Scarlet Witch will roll to break away. Gets a 6. (Would she be able to reroll if she got 3 or lower?). Moves to F14.
As beast moves towards Wanda she looks to Hawkeye. He nods.
Her mutant ability, a mix of dark magiks and probability altering, causes the air to move to light drizzle, progressing onto small stones then fist-sized boulders. The target: the Beast.
"Sorry, Hank, truly," she says with a furrowed brow as wind and rain and earth combine at her fingertips. "I hope this keep you back and remind you that my power is not to be trifled with."
"Amen to that, sister," says Beast, deftly evading most of the elements cast towards him. "Thing is, Wanda, I know you can't keep this up for long. I'm hopin' that I can simply outlast you. Now what's the probability of that?"
The wrath of the elements waning, Hawkeye pulls back his bow and arrow, "Not much chance, furball," and releases successive shock arrows at the blue haired mutant. Distracted by the arrows, the Scarlet Witch moves out of Beast's path. Hank McCoy is left shocked, pummeled and worst of all, wet. It is not his day.
Sorry about not noting Beast's damage. You have Scarlet Witch and Hawkeye in the same spot by the way.
Incidentally, Scarlet Witch would have had to move before Hawkeye attacked, since she was blocking his line of fire in her starting position, but since she made breakaway, no worries there. We can just say she moved out of the way first. Just need her new position. Since it may affect where I move Beast, I'll wait for it before I go.
Hey just took a look at the games we've played over the last while and figured I'd give you some useless but mildly interesting stats all becase we were picking teams recently and he made a comment when I chose Taskmaster as basically "no surprise there."
I decided to check up on it and sure enough I use Taskmaster pretty often (and pretty often not well). In roughly 35 games here are the characters who came up most (all are rev versions unless specified as Ultimate, unique etc):
5 times: Taskmaster, Psylocke, Quicksilver. Black Panther, Saturn Girl.
3 times: Hawkeye (Ultimate), Mordru, Thor, Scarlet Witch, Iceman, Human Torch (technically twice he was a replacement for the original Human Torch and Bucky), Robin (once as a replacement for Bucky), Gambit, Live Wire, Dr. Octopus, Silver Surfer, Black Widow (Ultimates), Archangel, Sersi, Nightcrawler, Jean Grey.
Now you, sir, are far less predictable. While I knew Gorilla Grodd would rank highly I expected more big numbers but here's what I found:
4 times: Gorilla Grodd, Beast (counting Lost in Time as 1), Vulture (?)
3 times: Solomon Grundy, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Weather Wizard (surprised me that he is so low), Moloid (all part of one game but still), Black Canary, Circe, Dr. Fate, Avalanche, Dr. Octopus.
Note who likes Marvel and who DC, note who's a bad boy and who's a good boy (the good boy is the one with way too much time on his hands for doing this!).
