And then the brain worms infest him, giving him pulsating tentacles until Red Robin comes and eats them, infesting Red Robin. Eventually, all the heroes are parasite ridden. And then come the meteors.
Then, one of the heroes survives long enough to travel to an alternate universe's earth, and he infects those heroes, and it continues on. And then.....
Probably Tim. He seems to be the only one who wants the job. But if I had my vote, it would be someone completely new, that the Bat Family doesn't know about. Why? Well, new origi, new character, ne conflicts within the Bat Clan ("Who is this guy anyway, and how did he get his hands on Bruce's stuff?"), and most of all... the possibility that they won't tell us for at least a year and we'll all be guessing.
3. What happens to Bruce Wayne?

*Thread looks sorrowfuly back before running off into the night.*
Then, it sneaks back, bites you on the backside, and then ravishes your woman while you're forced to watch as you lie there like a slug (it's your only defense). Then, Joe Quesada comes by and offers you comfort, and before you know it, he's ravishing you, leaving a trail of slime and drool all over you.
See, but that's my point. Hal wasn't a good match for Spectre, because Hal wasn't about that line between Justice and Vengence. Spectre WANTS someone like Bruce, who can understand that hard choices have to be made no matter what. Plus, you get this great scene where Bruce finally gets to talk to his parents face to ghostly face.
LOL.
Well, I think it could work.

Ra's will drop Bruce's parent's corpses into the lazarus pit, bringing them back to lilfe.

Actually, maybe Ra's shoud be the Spectre. It would fit in the pattern of his hosts... victim (Corrigan) - killer (Jordan) - victim (Allen) - killer (Al Ghul).
Sorry, but with he giant fig confirmed, I've got Spectre on the brain. But back to Batman...
If he goes, I'd like to see someone new. But barring that possibility, then I'd like to see no Batman at all. I think it would be an interesting thing to see what appens to the Bat Family when they have to continue (if that's what they choose) without him... REALLY without him. This goes double for Nightwing, who of all of them, has never really had a life outside of Bruce's world. Nightwing is the guy that would take it the hardest, and he's the guy that would suddenly be thrust into a role that he doesn't believe that he can fill.
But then, as you can see, I like my Batman paranoid, my Nightwing emo, my Red Hood reckless, my Robin torn, my Batgirl mute and in stitched leather, my Huntress full of anger, my Black Canary smoky and mysterious, and my Oracle in a wheelchair and not in spandex.
Oh, and Azreal and Spoiler dead... but I think only one of those is gonna stick much longer. But they can kill Batwoman if they want to, she's pointless.
