By "give us enough to draft different REVs" I assume that you mean that you can draft any of R, E, V separately, and therefore if you wanted could draft each separately if you really wanted.

I.e. - in the Nightcrawler example, people can draft any of the 7 Nightcrawlers as a sole figure.

I think that's basically what's being proposed. An X-Men team could draft the new Nightcrawler, and an Excalibur team could draft the U CT Nightcrawler.

It's the simplest way of allowing multiple teams to have access to the same character.

Eh, I am of the phase that if someone takes NCer, try to do something with out him.

If someone takes Sinestro, my team just won't have Sinestro on it.

It always worked in the creationmatrix leagues to draft figures an not worry about a budget. That is the simplest form of "drafting". No points to add up.

I like that idea as well. Let's not focus so much on points but on figures, no dupe recruiting (one nightcrawler = one night crawler). If everyone is going for X-teams, then you have to rethink if you "chosen" team gets taken. That's the point of drafting and draft spaces.

And the plan would be to have the league reboot every season am you have to switch up your team.

I've done So I guess I may be going Indy or DC depending on what I can find. Or Marvel Villain.

I would support this approach, especially given the "simplicity" mantra. I can draft "616 Steve Rogers" and 9 other guys instead of having to figure out how many points I want to spend on drafting cheapest Cap vs most expensive Cap, and roll out whichever Cap I want. (Not that I'm looking at Cap and his Avengers, but just as an example...) That would, as the nod to Bizarro so nicely points out, allow for this league to see some of the figures that we don't much see in the other leagues because people don't want to invest the points to get a harder-to-upgrade rookie that leads to a pretty good E or V.

We draft "themes" first.

That is only so everyone can see the directions the draft will take.

If the first pick is "uncanny x-force" them the rest of the draftees should kind of plan around leavin that guy his pieces.

I see this as a very fun, themey, gentlemans type of league.

One guy could grab Havok's X-Factor but should know that Wolfsbane would probably be taken.

It will spread the teams out a little but there is so much!

After you take your pieces that are all your theme the. Grab a couple team-up buddy pieces.

I also agree with the idea that two 616 Nightcrawlers cannot exist on multiple teams.
If you are running Excalibur and you're facing an X-Men team with the Nightcrawler you always wanted, it makes for some interesting plot twists.
"Nightcrawler, how could you abandon us?" Etc etc.

Are we going to do the attendance upgrades? And if we do, does that mean if I eventually upgrade to the vet, that I can still use the rookie at any time?
