Rember Energy Explosion is great for taking out that pesky medic hiding behind one of your opponent big guns. ANd if you can boost that damage up with enhancement or SHIELD TA then you are set. Lets just say I've thinned out a few armies with Ultron and a couple of shield agents. Also Prob Control is awesome nothing better than making your opponent reroll that 10 he needed to hit your invisible girl. Also tie up your opponents big guns whenever possible, you might lose a 15 pts character but they spent at least one round either attacking or trying to break away from them. R Invisible girl is great for this, her high def makes her hard to hit and if you pair her up with a PCr then hello, just pick off that big gun with ranged attacks and youve won.
If you plan on using objects outdoors and there are lots of buildings, consider putting them on the rooftops. This is especially true if your opponent is using ranged attacks. That way you can carry your heavy hitters to the roof, then they can pick up objects. Plus people are less likely to get on a roof if you are carrying hercules and there is an engine block on top of it.
Speaking of objects on rooftops, a popular move around here is to put objects on the corner of buildings. Then you move your stealthed character onto the object making him "stealthed". This works great for Perplex - Gambit & Mystique. Probabilitiy Control - Black Cat. And probably other things.
Most Wanted:DC Super Friends - El Dorado, Rima.
Finish the classic Legion of Super-Heroes - Light(ning) Lass, Ferro Lad, Chemical King, Quizlet.
Which is a good reason to kill Blue Beetle and Zatanna immediately if you have any Stealthed models you plan to put on the corners of buildings.
This thread has moved from "basic strategy" to "advanced strategy", it seems.
I posted some strategies a few months ago, but here are some more:
1. When you're winning, you can afford to be cautious. Retreat, regroup, and heal up. Your opponent must come to you.
2. When you're behind, you must take the initiative. This is when you need to kill his medics (if you haven't already).
3. Give your opponent a pice of bait. Try to have one model with a higher range than his highest-range model; Perplex will help here. Taxi the model into firing range and fire. He will have to come out to counterattack. Then gang up on the models that take the bait.
4. Bring only your favourite map or maps to the game. If you get map choice, you're set. If he gets map choice, you increase the likelihood of playing on a map suited to your team.
5. Medics are more key to DC-only play than in Marvel play due to the lack of Probability Control.
6. Don't design your team around a narrow gambit. All narrow gambits have one huge strength and many weaknesses, and if your opponent can exploit those weaknesses, you're sunk.
7. If you're spending half of your point build on one figure, you'd better have a very good reason to do so.
8. Offset your taxi placement, like this:
XXXAXXX
XXXXBXX
XXXCXXX
A= opponent's model
B= taxied model
C= taxi
If your taxi has a ranged attack (and much of the time, it should), this will give your taxi a potential ranged attack against the enemy model while the taxi is still able to pull model B out of combat if need be.
9. Know your lines of sight. All lines of sight are calculable geometrically, and thus by sight, without the use of a straightedge or string.

Can u pls.. help be regarding using pulse wave....
1. pulse wave via perflex, enhancement, or shield team ability ----> any rules i need to know b4 i can use pulse wave.
2. how to draw line of fire or sight..... does i need to include figures at my back.... does is have a circular light of sight or diagonal....
if there's anything u can add that is not in the erata rules, it will be a big help to me.....
Zero, pulse wave can't be perplexed, but you can use enhancement or SHIELD to increase the damage by one. Line of fire is 360 degrees, and as the PAC states, is affected normally by terrain features.
it's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog
1. Can an attacker attack an opposing character that has a barrier. Provided the attack is in the building and the target is in the ground.
2. can you eloborate further the rules of barrier not mention in the FAQ.
3. give me some team in DC (pure DC no marvel) that I can use in defeating a MARVEL team (pure marvel) 300 pts. I may consider using mind control.
4. Can you suggest a team in DC (pure) that a barrier in the first click...... because I thing I notice in DC characters are, they lack depense (low depense value).
Hmm... I think we might need to revamp this thread soon... the new rules make half the tips useless... still, there's a lot of good stuff here. But who's going to clean up the mess? ((Don't stare. It's impolite.))
