So if I accept the interpretation of working together as the posts above, the JL team base at full value can move, activate running shot, and still make four more attacks. Is that correct?
Correct. At 600 points you have 6 actions as free actions, and any number of those can be basic attacks.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

If you KO a fig on a Solo Adventure, do you get 5 points or whatever it's point value is for not exceeding the total of the team base purposes?
You get the point value of the starting line immediately previous to the click in popped off on. So in a 300 point match, you'd generally get the lowest point value of the figure. I don't remember if there are any exceptions to that though.

I always just assumed this, cause let's face it... I'm not a cheater. I'm not trying to bend the rules to the breaking point... just to get a win. It's a game. It's not worth it.
Seriously? Monkey Joe becomes a part of my force forever, if I have him detached from Squirrel Girl. LAME!
Also, when TT came out, and I did a sealed. I used Fairchild to MC Cyborg off of the Teen Titans dial. If my opponent tried to say: "You can't use my switch clix. It's my sideline. You have to bring your own."
I'd flip that person off, throw his/her piece across the room, and say: "I guess he just got KO'd. 5 points to me."
Everybody says that if you mind control a team base and pop off a fig it becomes friendly to your force for the rest of the game. They say this based on the rulings for red wing, monkey joe ect. Why this wont work on team bases is because of one simple thing, they are figs not bystander tokens like the others. The rules are not the same. Case closed.
" Thank God for Rednecks."
" Hey man, can you help a nerd out? I needs my plastic crack fix."

Oh good. Game design finally chimed in and confirmed how this works.

Force Construction

When you add a team to your force, you must pay the cost of the team. For each team member that begins the game attached to the team, increase the point value of the team by 5 points. A team must have a minimum of 3 characters (15 points) attached at any given time unless a game effect says otherwise. Each team member attached to the team must have an asset ability listed on its character card whose icon matches the icon of the asset ability listed on the team’s character card. Team members begin the game attached to the team while their SwitchClix bases MAY be included in your sideline. Teams and team members can’t be assigned resources, can’t roll to pick up a relic, can’t become a pilot of a vehicle unless a game effect specifies otherwise

No, you do not. That IS the current rule, like it or not. It is under review...but right now you do not have to grant your opponent access your figures.
I have seen no Orange say this...feel free to provide a link or rules quote to the contrary...but if you pull that malarkey when I am judging...you get an instant DQ.

What we do have is Rules Dudes saying this issue is under review, meaning officially there is not a hard answer. You are free to rule it as you've chosen, and that may eventually be confirmed as the right answer. But as of now it is your ruling, not the official one.

Can a team base sit on a wall? I know it can sit on two different elevations, but can it sit inside two different "rooms"
I'd have to take a closer look to be sure, but I'd guess no. You would need some special rule that allows them to occupy blocking terrain, or treat it as clear terrain, and I'm not aware of them having that ability.

Overall, with the basic team base rules, the can occupy different elevations, not be in two different rooms with a wall dividing them. However, what if they have phasing?
