Honestly. Picking up Sandman and 2 Grasshoppers is by far the best 10$ ever spent.
I'm sure that we'll see more Copycats being played "in case" this team shows up lol
Yeppers! Copycat and Maria Hill might be seeing a resurgence.
Yeah make sure its 100pt Composite Superman w/ every Legionnaire made, a 50pt Hank Pym w/ every possible swap out, 2, 40pt, aaou007 Ultron Sentry w/ 2 more and 2 Ultron Mk 1 sideboarded, 1 entity and a 44pt Lantern Battery (with unused constructs sideboarded) = 299
Not legal... only 3 characters per 100 points of the build are allowed on the sideline (as the only statement that's ever been made about the sideline in any official rules document/post)... I'm surprised Dragon didn't poop all over this after it made his whiskers tingle.

Also not legal... 1 ID card per figure on your force.
Why not just have 1 Grasshopper on your team if you're going to do this to make an even bigger point?

Nah, he likes to make a more obvious tongue-in-cheek statement by doing that.
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????

Yeah I know, but it not only makes a better T-shirt, but i was kinda internally betting with myself about who'd be the first to correct me. Colour me surprised that it was actually a poster in this thread and not the D-man.
Sadly this is my fault. It began as a joke between the group of players I am travelling too UK Nationals with over what is the stupidest team you could play in the constructed qualifier if you've already made it through the sealed qualifier?
It seemed like a silly little joke of mine until one of our players decided that he is indeed playing this whether he has qualified or not.
I'm strongly against it to the point that harsh words have been exchanged and we're not exactly getting on well. I'm very concerned about the way this ruins the experience for people who have taken time off work and spent money travelling to play in the largest event in the country this year.
His argument is that I regularly build frustrating and unique teams and that this is no different than my odd builds frustrating him at a local tournament on a weekday evening. He seems totally, and sadly, blinded to the fact that this isn't just frustrating and it totally removes a player from the game.

If he is going to legitimately try to win 3 roll offs to qualify, go for it. If he just wants to muck up the event, #### him.
What is the difference between those two statements?
That's a serious question.
Because attitude matters. Believe it or not this is a legitimate strategy. It does not have a high success rate, but then again neither does playing the WildCats.

While it might be fun, in the short term it will likely cause confrontation with other players and he won't be especially liked by anyone with the misfortune to come across him. For me if I drew the short straw to play him I would just concede and not even give him the benefit of rolling dice and just walk away. I do think Wizkids needs to address the issue this figure raises and I think having someone do this in the finals might act as a wake up call but on a personal level the player is the one everyone will end up hating. I hope he is ready for that.
