The Red Sox are forever enshrined in Twins history.
Dog, I tip my cap to you.....since by that somewhat cryptic comment, I'll take it that you are referring to the 1967 AL pennant race --- arguably, the greatest down-to-the-wire race over a baseball season's last two weeks.
Since the Sox won, it will be remembered as Yaz's magical season.
But if your Twins had won...well, it would be remembered forever for Jim Kaat's pitching that September.
No doubt about it, that was one for the ages...
Tim Burton was right: "A square jaw does not a Batman make." Steve Buscemi as the next Batman! Luke Perry as Joker! Let's make it happen!

Uhhhhhhhhh......yeah! (You give me too much credit.)
I was actually referring to a more trivial bit of history. As in, the first visiting team to play against (and lose) to the Twins in Target Field in a regular season game. (Phrased as a question if you are playing Jeopardy.)

Aw, shucks...I knew that. Heh-heh. No, really, I did...

If anything readyeddy probably liked him being in a movie because he wasn't wrestling.
As long as he didn't play Thor, I'm happy.
I pretty much can't stand any of the Clik, though I liked Scott Hall before he hooked up with the clik.

So far this season I've only been paying attention to the home team, as they did something they reportedly hadn't done since 1899: Sweep the opening series of the season at home. (Against the Astros.)
It's such a long road ahead, of course, and I still saw too many Phillies stranded on base as the sides were retired (it's especially painful seeing it happen twice in one game with the bases loaded), but I also saw many more signs of them playing a more incremental game rather than constantly trying for home runs and seeing most of the attempts end as Outs.
But, still, it's too long a season and there were already so many injuries before the season started. It's too early to ride the highs because we know there'll be lows as far below the line as this past weekend was above it.
I know next to nothing about any of the wrestlers being mentioned. The times I watched wrestling with any regularity was at the start of the seventies, more or less, because a friend I hung out with was very much into that and roller derby. So, I mainly remember Chief Jay Strongbow, George "The Animal" Steele, Bruno Sammartino and the like. It was always comic theater to me.
In the eighties when wrestling was the only thing on after the Saturday morning cartoons I was into it. I wasn't really into it again until about six or seven years ago. I had USA on and didn't feel like changing the channel or there was nothing else on. I realized it was pretty entertaining. I started switching back and forth during the commercials of something else I would watch. Eventually the wrestling just phased out whatever the other thing was. This past year with the baby and other things I haven't kept up much.
George "The Animal" Steele is who got me to start watching wrestling. He did a hilarious promo with "Mean" Gene Okerlund during his feud with Randy Savage. I realised wrestling had a sense of humor and I was hooked.

Didn't know they were showing the Hall of Fame induction tonight for the WWE. I don't give a rat's ### about Shawn Michaels or his triple twit body but I would have liked to have seen the Road Warriors induction.
Glad Triple Twit wasn't allowed to end the streak.

I just wish he hadn't lost via submission!
I've lost track of wrestling in the last few years. I just looked on their website and I'm a little confused why they call The Undertaker "The Last Outlaw." Is this another persona?

He's using a Johnny Cash song for his intros so I guess it ties in with outlaw country.
