can you outwit a friendly characters powers, i.e. batman outwits spiral's battlefurry. 2 does outwit work if you are adjacent to a character i.e. batman who is adjacent to punisher outwits his stealth.
To Outwit a certain character's power, you have to have line of sight to that character. If that character is in hindering and has Stealth, then you cannot Outwit any powers of that character, even if you are adjacent. Hope this helps you.
1. No. Specifically in the description ("target opposing character"). Used to be, you could do as you describe, but not since IndyClix (if not before; I lose track of some revisions).
2. Technically, yes, Outwit works if you are next to a character, but adjacency has nothing to do with it. You must be able to trace LoF (Line of Fire) to the figure that you want to use Outwit against. You can never (with the exception of having either Superman Ally or Ultimates team abilities) trace LoF to a character with Stealth (or Batman Ally or Kabuki team abilities) if that LoF would cross into or through hindering terrain (including if the character is standing on hindering terrain). The answer to the question you meant to ask is "no."
Edit: Got me while I was typing. Nice.

TRADES. eBay.
An Admin told me that I'm "too smart" for Another Realm. I hold that as a standing order.
You cannot Outwit your own team, no matter how bloody useful (and you cannot shut off non-Optional powers. Like Battle Fury)
Even adjacent to a character with stealth (et. al.) you cannot Outwit because you still do not have a line of fire. Now if you had Brainiac 5 or Lobster Johnson and either an Ultimates or Superman Ally figure on your team, then that is different
I think you're confusing yourself.
Being adjacent to a character has nothing to do with whether you have a Line of Fire to that character. If you can trace a clear Line of Fire to the target character and are withing 10 spaces of that character, you can Outwit one of their powers. However, if the character has Stealth and is on hindering terrain, and you don't have either the Superman Ally or Ultimates Team Abilities (or a wildcard TA copying one of those), then you can't trace clear LoF to that figure. This is regardless of whether you're adjacent or not.
I hope that's clearer.

Originally posted by bagman04 can you outwit a friendly characters powers, i.e. batman outwits spiral's battlefurry. No. You cannot target a friendly character with OUTWIT...I believe it is in the PAC wording. 2 does outwit work if you are adjacent to a character i.e. batman who is adjacent to punisher outwits his stealth.Yes...unless that character with Stealth is standing in hindering terrain. There is an exception to this as well...a character with OUTWIT and either the Superman Ally or Ultiamates Team Ability is not effected by hindering terrain.
