I've just started playing, now that I have HeroClix and someone to play with. I just discoverd this board today and have already learned lots. The things I haven't found (maybe I'm not looking in the right place) are rules for more than two players.
Can anyone explain how that would work, or where I can find out?
Were there specific rules that you were looking for? There isn't a large difference between playing with two players and playing with more than that.
Right in the rulebook (Marvel Universe Rulebook, page 6), it says that it can be played by any number of players, but it plays best with two to four.
If there are specific questions that you have that you feel aren't answered in the rules, feel free to ask away.
TRADES. eBay.
An Admin told me that I'm "too smart" for Another Realm. I hold that as a standing order.
Since the game came out, I for the most part predominantly play in games of 3 players.
The big thing is to watch the point totals of the figures you've KO'ed. You could end up not being the last man standing and still have the point majority.
Also houserule what you want to do about objects. At some point the rules/faq (its getting hard keeping track of the game changes these days) said its three objects on the map per player, which in a three man game gives out nine objects on the map. We usually put 5 heavies and 5 lights out initially and take turns drawing till 9 and discarding the 10th.
Also we've noticed in our gaming group, keep an eye on the middle man. Two players end up playing face to face with one middle player on a flank side. The two face to face players instinctively go at it and the middle player sits back and cleans house. Which in a points game, can be very effective.
Also don't be afraid to commit. Sitting back sometimes, watching your opponents do the dirty work can deny you the points you need. If your opponents reduce themselves to only one rookie Scourge, all you can get is his 14 points, meanwhile your dead opponents have all the glory points.
Personally, when I play 3 player games, the two guys on the flanks usually crush the poor guy in the middle between them...
That's why we usually play 2 or 4 players instead...
whenever i play multi player, one of my opponents always splits his force up to go after 2 people at once. then he complains when his figs get killed. you have to be more careful in 3 or higher games, otherwise it's the same.
"zathras is finite, time is infinite, this is wrong tool."
4 player games work fine with 2 (A&B) vs 2 (C&D) teams and turns going like following (A, C, B, D). Time limit should also be raised for 2+ hours. We don't allow taxiing or healing team member's figs.

When playing with more than two players, it's important to choose a good scenario. You want one that minimises this problem of two players dogpiling another one. I recommend the fourth scenario in the Marvel rulebook:
Winner takes all!
An ancient artifact has been discovered in a very unlikely place - the middle of town! Legend claims that this artifact offers untold power to the possessor. There are those who seek to wield such power - and those who believe the artifact must be destroyed for the good of humankind.
Place a Special marker in the center of the map. Any character can pick up the marker. The character that has the marker must drop it when he takes damage from an attack. Place the marker for the dropped artifact in any square adjacent to the character that dropped it (the opponent chooses the square). The character holding the artifact may only be assigned move or pass actions and cannot pick up another object.
Victory
The force holding the artifact at the end of 10 turns is the winner.
You'll need to decide what happens if no-one is holding the object at the end of the 10th turn. We usually play overtime until someone is holding the object at the end of each turn.
Another issue is that the scenario may favour the player who goes last. A way of avoiding is to roll for initiative each turn to randomise the sequence of play. A simple way of doing this is to have numbered cards, e.g. playing cards A,2,3,4. Shuffle and deal these at the start of each turn and players take their moves in that order for that turn.
The fourth scenario in the DC rulebook is similar but has some interesting differences. Give that a try too - it's the Raid on S.T.A.R. Labs.
A fairer way of doing 3-player games is have a 2 v 1 match. The first two players have 300pts each, who operate as a Tag Team, and player three has 600pts.
You get a lot less A hits B while C cleans up.

It is more fair, but it is imperative that the 3rd persons force is broken into TWO 300pt teams or it causes a Big Problem...And if the 3rd person gets to share team abilities between his two teams than so should player 1 and 2.
OK, this is what we have seen to work best-if you have 3 people, you go until the one person is eliminated. Then you count up points. If you are trailing, you will not finish of the 'middle man' and may end up having to screen his last guy to give you a chance to knock off one of the stronger players characters to pull ahead in points. It's not perfect, but it's better than normal 3 player last man standing.
Also, a 4 player game goes alot faster if you play 2 on 2, ending when one player is knocked out. This forces team work, as you lose if your teammate goes down.
Three-player is our standard format. The way it works for us goes something like this:
1) My two friends immediately charge each other (one of them favors rangers, the other is all about the beat sticks) and commence to laying waste to each other.
2) I come in playing some screwball team with Judge Death, six-armed Spiderman, and Jervis Tetch on it.
3) My team is justifiably ignored until I pull of a decent roll and make some "woo hoo" noises, accompanied by flashing the "metal rules!" salute.
4) This draws the attention Vet. She-Hulk, who turns and proceeds to beat my entire team to death with dump trucks and each other (we play with persistent corpses - increases the potential for adding insult to injury), while LE Silver Surfer blows them into tiny bits from the other side of the map.
5) I make the mental note that showboating is not rewarded in a three way game.
This scenario plays itself out pretty much every week. As yet, I have not learned to either a) restrain my in-game celebrations or b) bring a team that can actually merit in-game celebration. So, yeah, I'm pretty much the comic relief...
What some friends of mine and myself do to make our 3 player games a little more random is to reroll initiative after every turn. This way you have to plan a little more carefully because you don't know exactly when your turn is gonna be from turn to turn.
