but someone makes rubble in your square from a busted wall,
and you start your move action in Hindering...do you get your full half movement if you move into hindering or do you have to stop as if you started your turn in the clear.
As to your question, quoting from the Rulebook above:
Quote
A character that enters hindering terrain from nonhindering terrain must stop moving. Any character that begins its turn in hindering terrain has its speed reduced by half.
If you begin your movement in hindering terrain (has nothing to do with the beginning of the turn), your movement is halved. If you move out of that hindering terrain into nonhindering terrain, and then move back into hindering terrain, you have "enter[ed] hindering terrain from nonhindering terrain" and "must stop moving."

Say you start your turn on a clear square...then your pal Tk's you to hindering terrain...then you opt for a move action out of hindering terrain...you SHOULD only move half speed, but the rules you quoted above indicate there is no such provision that covers this.
I asked this question last summer and I think your answer in the last paragraph was the ruling...I just want to make sure as it was never faq'd that I know of.
• Replace the second sentence in the second paragraph under Hindering Terrain, page 19, with the following: “Any character that begins an action in which it moves in hindering terrain has its speed value reduced by half.”
So, in your above example, the TK'd figure will move at half his speed.
Alright, yes, I see that WizKids cleared it up with the FAQ (should've checked there). I'm not sure whether I had thought that it was already clear, or whether I was reading it with the emphasis of "any character that begins its turn in hindering terrain." That would imply that it doesn't matter whether it begins your turn in hindering terrain... and it can't begin its turn and then be interrupted by someone TKing him or knocking down a wall.
[/annoyance at not being clear enough]

From the FAQ bullet, it can be surmised that, more generally, a square does not switch between clear and hindering terrain mid-action. As such, if Gladiator or CT Thor moves adjacent to a stealther via Running Shot and picks up the object underneath the stealther, is the stealther still in hindering terrain?
