Fighting Galactus as part of a Force, information that may come in handy...
As mentioned on another thread, I've been planning an offensive against the Mighty Galactus. What I've come up with so far is a diagram illustrating certain "safe zones" and Galactus' range for certain attacks.
Now of course some aspects of this diagram would only work while fighting against Galactus as part of a force, not the Galactus scenario.
Notes:
* From the Initial Telekinesis Drop Point, it is exactly 10 squares forward to Galactus, so someone with stealth and Perplex or Probability Control would be effective from this point.
* Assuming you can "hold" Galactus in his starting position for long enough, you can move your characters freely throughout the "Safe Zone" to retreat for healing, etc.
* Three characters adjacent to Galactus at three different points (two either side and one infront) should be able to "hold" Galactus in place for as long as their dials last. Use characters that are "expendable", as many as you can for this purpose.
That's all I've come up with so far, without making too many assumptions on individual team builds. Feel free to leave your comments, suggestions and friendly-constructive criticisms.
It has just been brought to my attention that Galactus moves per the standard flying rules, so it's going to be quite hard in keeping Galactus in place.
Maybe this diagram will better serve fighting against the Galactus scenario after all.
Actually, there's no escaping Galactus. He has 3 actions per turn, and he sees through stealth. You can only hope for some really good super senses rolls.
I like the map. I like the designated zones for possible deployment.
For initial setup, I would use Vet Johnny Alpha as a point man. He can hang out with the stealth/supersenses and have a reasonable chance of holding his spot. Galactus would have to move up and smack him. Having Galactus positioned in the middle of the board for a counter strike would be worth Johnny's points to me. If Galactus doens't deal with johnny, you basically have a teleportation warp set up to deliver you characters where you need them.
It is imperative to drop off a 2-4 high powered pulse waves off on Galactus head. You want him off that first dial at all costs. V Kang (Laugh if you will), Ultimate Phoenix, LE Doom, Vet Cyborg are good choices. LE Annihilus if you can get him is also a good choice.
KC Superman/Magog or SOD Superman with a haymaker and a Heavy Object would be a good second wave attacker.
I'm gonna go try this out and see what happens.

Wine is only good with cheese, not Heroclix.
