So can you use this feat on a guy with Willpower and have him take no damage? If you can this will be a great card for Batman teams, and others with willpower. If you can't then this card will be another piece of sun-colored chaff to sit in the back of my clix box.
As of right now, you can use it for "free" if the character has Willpower since there is no mention of the card ignoring Willpower. If it is a mistake, I am sure it will be in the next FAQ, after Icons release maybe.
Willpower only lets a character ignore pushing damage that comes from getting two tokens. Willpower doesn't help for this card anymore than WP protects against Passenger, Haymaker, etc.

Actually, Willpower doesn't say anything about tokens. It just says that the character doesn't take push damage.
Feats like Pounce specifically say that the push damage ignores Powers and TAs. Since Darkness Within *doesn't* say that, I'd say Willpower would prevent the push damage caused by using this Feat.
I would not be surprised at all if this is FAQ'd to ignore Powers and TAs, but as it reads now, it doesn't.

But those still have "this character takes 1 pushing damage that ignores Willpower and team abilities." This Feat does not.

except all of those cards specifically say "give this character one click of UNREDUCEABLE pushing damage" or "give this character a click of pushing damage that ignores willpwoer and team abilities"
this card does not.
i don't know how it will be ruled. but right now, willpower absorbs the damage

I beleive it is the intention of the designers that the affected character take the click even if they have willpower regardless of the specific text of the card. Once the new FAQ comes out I bet it will be changed just like the Fantastic Four alternate team ability card. If it seems like to good of a combo it probably is. However on the flip side for 20 points you would think something like willpower would negate it.
I think the card was written with the effect that character A steals some lifeforce from character B and uses it to pump up his damage. I also think they didn't call it inflicting one click of damage because of damage reducing/ negating powers and other powers/team abilities that are activated by damage dealt.
I personally think a new term should be coined for clicks that are imposed by feats. Something like Exhaustion clicks. An Exhausting click would refer to any click imposed by feats. Exhausting clicks are not damage in any sense of the word. They are a cost imposed by a feat in order to use it.
Y'know, considering the cheap enhancement available in U-Men and the Red Hood (and R Psylocke in unrestricted), I should hope that Willpower _does_ absorb it, or it is overpriced.
Throw 'Rip It Up' on a free-movement Super-Strength Avenger or JLA fig, drop the object, then steal a click from a CA or DEO for Perplex and end of said object. Sweet.
