In a well lit, but still rather dusty complex, a woman's voice spoke up softly.
"Sir, the blood sample has been analyzed."
An armored hand reached past the woman, entering some data to the computer and checking the results she had mentioned. His controlled, noble voice seemed
slightly confused.
"Are you sure this data is from our probe?"
The woman nodded, and the man's confusion seemed to multiply.
"That data is impossible. Send more advanced probes."
The woman nodded, then tapped a few keys on the input device, and the statistics appeared for another type of probe, looking more like a harmless sphere than
anything else. The man's face went solemn.
"Deploy two of them."
"Yes sir."
A few more keystrokes, and the probes were off to an area mentioned in an intercepted transmission. No doubt there would be their source of anomalous data...

Kane's eyes were closed in sleep, though that was not his intention. He was meaning to be there immediately when there was a verdict on Sebastion's
condition. Instead, his own exaustion and painful sores from Black Death combined to leave him asleep in his chair. He murmured something...
"You try that again and..."
His arm twitched in a dreamed punch.
"And I'll rip your appendix out... and make you eat it..."
He made another swing, this time with enough kick to drop him out of his chair and onto the floor. Mercy rolled her eyes and kicked Kane in the kidney, he
woke up, wincing, and grasping at his side. Mercy's foot was back under her chair, but Kane had his suspicions and gave her a scowl as he stood up again,
rubbing at the affected area and wiping sleep out of his eyes as the doctor came out of the examination room.
"Mr. Greyfeather, Ms. Iscariot?"
They gave the doctor their full attention.
"I believe you should come with me..."
---
"As you can see, his face has taken a great deal of damage. Cuts, bruises, swelling, and this cheek bone was shattered in the impact, along with his left eye
being swelled totally shut. His legs took a bit of a shaking, and his right leg is dislocated. He has numerous other injuries, but I believe these prove my
point. He cannot accompany you for a while. I cannot allow it."
Kane muttered something, and the doctor glanced at him.
"What was that?"
"Oh nothing, nothing. Can the kid still talk?"
The doctor shrugged.
"As far as I know, I see no reason why he would be unable to speak. His throat was relatively unharmed."
Kane adjusted his sunglasses.
"You see no reason why not? Why can't you just give me a straight answer?"
The doctor pointed into the next room, where Sebastion's pathetic form was strapped to a table, unconcious.
"That's why. He hasn't regained conciousness, so his speech capabilities cannot be gagued."
Mercy seemed cold on the outside, who could predict what was going on inside? Quietly, she turned and left the room. Kane shrugged, thanked the doctor, and
started to leave the room.
'Kid's tougher than I thought...'
"Mr. Greyfeather, these should be compatible with your weapon."
The doctor placed a few needle ended capsules in Kane's hand, and the robot-ish glanced at them.
"Wow, normally I only get ammo from the weapons locker, now I get bio weapons?"
The doctor shook his head.
"They're not bio weapons... they're tranquilizers. You'll know if you need to use them."
Kane gave the doctor an incredulous look, then put the needles in his pocket.
'And I thought winners didn't use drugs...'
---
Kane was in his room, a rather spartan place, only with the bare essentials and almost no decoration. He sat there unmoving, except to bounce a ball against
the floor, so that it would bounce against the wall and return to his hand to repeat the process. His mind wasn't even in the simple game, it more appeared
that he was trying to do something to get his mind off something. And failing.
There was a knock on the door, and Kane mumbled some sort of greeting, and the door opened, showing Heru on the other side. Taking the greeting as license to
enter, he did, closing the door behind him.
"Greetings."
Kane seemed to be there in body only, continuing to bounce the ball off the wall and mumbling something semi-kind. There was an awkward pause, then Heru
continued.
"Those probing devices did not seem to be with the main body of our enemies... do you have any idea of who they could have been collecting data for?"
Kane shrugged, then caught the ball and set it down.
"I know that at least the one treated me like a mission objective. Sean and his civilian brother popped it, but the mouthpiece managed to sneak over and take
a sample from me..."
He rubbed his arm near the area that had been stabbed.
"I can't help but think that there's something bigger out there that we could be doing than dealing with anti-Hydran thugs. Lately I've just been a delivery
boy with a gun... I just feel like my talents are wasted right now."
"Don't hope for too much action, sometimes calm is nice. Something tells me that whatever those other units were, I don't think we really want to find out."
Kane's eyes still had their glazed look, and he started bouncing the ball again.
"That seems like a decent idea..."
He was obviously somewhere else entirely. Heru spoke up again.
"I had discovered some interesting devices in our robotic adversaries."
Bounce. Bounce. Bounce. Bounce.
"That's great... what kind of toys?"
Heru pulled out what appeared to be a lightsaber hilt of monstrous proportions, seeming incredibly proud of his work. Kane's tired voice spoke up.
"And what's that, a more durable bludgeon than your normal fare?"
Heru glared at him, then flipped the switch revealing a gigantic energy blade, which he gave a swing or two in the empty space.
Bounce. Bounce. Bounce. Bounce.
"Clever. Definently worth style points."
Heru tapped the handle too hard and the weapon shorted out. The blade dissapeared, and Heru shook the hilt again, trying to return it.
Bounce. Bounce. Bounce. Bounce.
"Of course, style isn't the same as substance."
Heru's weapon reactivated, and he seemed pleased with himself, turning the weapon off and putting it away.
Bounce. Bounce. Bounce. Bounce.
"That's great."
Bounce. Bounce. Bounce. Bounce.
"Anything else you need?"
Heru shook his head.
Bounce. Bounce. Bounce. Bounce.
"Then would you mind leaving? I've got... a lot on my mind."
"Of course."
Bounce. Bounce. Bounce. Bounce.
"Thanks."
The door closed, and Kane kept bouncing the ball...
---
Kane's brooding was cut short when a mission briefing was called. He gave a frustrated sigh, but then tried to rationalize the crappy hours with the
accomodations, the fact that he was doing the right thing, and his rather sizeable paycheck for the line of work. As he exited the room, he could see several
other Enforcers heading toward the War Room. He shrugged. Probably some other unimportant mission... if thugs had thrown chocolate syrup on the CEO's tie
again... then Kane was sure he would go insane. He was in for a(n) (un)pleasant surprise.
---
"At the opening of our latest corporate office..."
Kane braced himself.
"Our CEO's speech was interrupted by some activity that we believe requires your services. No one should be able to think they can mock our company."
Kane's fists clenched and unclenched by themselves. If this had anything to do with a simple prank that a security guard with a cork gun could handle...
"These Marxist extremists rushed the stage, overwhelmed our security, and are holding the CEO hostage. Our intelligence on the area is inconclusive, but we
have identified several of our opponents as... Blockade... Occult... and Spasm."
The three targets were all shown, and then the tech showed another series of five pictures.
"These are our ringleaders, however, The Union Five. They are..."
He highlited a figure in the collage of five, each time that he mentioned the applicable name.
"Bourgeoisie... Kapital... Militsya... Iron Curtain... and Proletariat."
They seemed to be a tough team, complementing one another's strengths and forming a difficult shell to break. Kane shrugged.
"At least it's something worthwhile."
The tech glared at him.
"Are you implying something?"
"No, not at all."
"We noticed that one of your main tacticians was..."
"Brutalized?"
Kane offered the word to fill in the blank, but the tech obviously prefered his own word.
"...incapacitated, and will be unable to continue in his normal capacity. He did, however, make a suggestion as to offer his assistance. From his recovery
bed, he will be given access to as much of our intelligence as possible, and attempt to provide tactics information for the team. Though he cannot assist the
whole team this way, his efforts should help make up for his lack of bodily fortitude."
The tech reached into a nearby drawer and pulled out four headsets.
"These will keep you in contact with Sebastion Graves..."
"Timeline."
A screen activated, and Sebastion's battered body was shown to be watching the briefing, and correcting the tech on his new alias.
"A direct link to Timeline, who will attempt to assist you in any way possible. Unfortunately, he is only able to effectively help four of you, due to
technological and bodily constraints. He thought about this, and chose..."
Timeline spoke up.
"I'll take it from here. Kane, Mercy, Heru, and Gigawatt seemed like the most appropriate to help, because the thing about advice and teamwork..."
He glared down at Sean especially.
"Is that if you're off in your own little world just trying to beat everything up, my assistance would do you no good. I chose the team members that seemed
the most reliable and team minded so that I would be at my own maximum effectiveness from here."
The tech took over again.
"Alright, so let's get this straight. Your mission is to rescue our CEO. Totally humiliating the Union Five before their capture would be generously
rewarded."
Kane's eyebrow rose before he attempted to clarify the mission.
"We're being used as Fortune 500 class bullies?"
The tech shrugged.
"If you want to think about it that way, I can't stop you, but I prefer poetic justice."
Kane had nothing more to say, and turned to the mission deployment zone. The rest of his team followed close behind.
---
The Enforcers moved out of the deployment craft in sync with one another, with Brian Harris coming from nowhere to join them. Kane glared at him, but he
refused to go away. He sighed... then turned his attention to the Union Five. They were on the building, with the Hydran CEO. And they didn't look happy with
him. Meanwhile, two spheres advanced onto a rooftop, scanning the area for their targets...

Map is OAP 1.
Villians will be up shortly on the main topic, and this topic as well. That was convenient...
Dangit, I forgot to add that Kapital has Automatic Regeneration, and that the four selected characters (Kane, Heru, Jezebel, and Gigawatt) have the custom (ish) feat In Contact with Timeline. K-Ness will select what is boosted, it would be good to keep in touch with him to plan accordingly.
if anyone wants to use my TK before I get back from class, move next to me and include my TK in your post. otherwise I will post my action when I get back late tonight
I am waiting a bit for my post, but I strongly recommend that no one takes the TK or does anything to hinder a path to P-14 or causes anything to happen to Proletariat.
Sebastion looks at the screens relaying the battle. "This is boring. What else is on?"
He changes the channel which results in little more than switching cameras on the battlefield. Sebastion starts to pout, causing the nurse to simply roll her eyes. Sebastion mutters under his breath something about needing to learn how to see into the future to prevent himself from boredom like this. Switching the camera from the foes his allies are facing to his allies themselves, he sighs in slight disgust when he sees the horrible placement they all have taken at the start. "Either they ALL want to be like me or want to upstage me. And with those wonderful positions they're well on their way to accomplishing such a feat, but all is not lost."
Sebastion grabs a notepad from his side table and scribbles a few things on it. He tears the sheet of paper off and motions for the nurse. "Ma'am, be a dear and find these things for me. Think of it as a scavenger hunt. If this facility is anything like what Kane keeps telling me it is, then I'm certain it will have everything I'm asking for. And be quick about it, please. I'm getting very bored in here." The nurse grumbles inaudibly as she takes the piece of paper and heads out the door. Sebastion turns his attention back to the monitors. "Heru, I think I am going to start things off with you. Some of the villains are a bit more mobile than others. Eliminating their mobility while we still have ours is key. Have Mindbender hoist you up onto the roof. Once there, move around the horse... Who the hell puts a horse on top of a building? Sorry, anyway, around the horse is a Gigawatt wannabe. Strike at it hard. Specifically, the sternum. Whoever designed the unit knows nothing about center of gravity. The construct is off-balance, so it should be easy to knock over. And you know what they say about the bigger they are..."
Sebastion glances over a few more screens. "Well, our crafty little friends are using the bushes to their advantage. Okay... one is using the bushes to their advantage. Hmm... Mercy, I need you to help Gigs in this next part. Move over by the blue car *T-19*. Help Gigawatt hit his mark, and then you can follow-up against Spasm or do your best to ensure that Militsya is out for the count. Be careful, though. There's two probes nearby who could sweep in to strike at you. Gigawatt, I want you to run in are try to flush Militsya out of the bushes. Keep your distance. If you fail to hit her you could leave yourself open to a counter-strike. Keep in mind that she's hiding inside a bush. If you can fan out your fire a bit, you'll have a greater chance to hit her."
Sebastion takes a drink of hot chocolate and smiles a bit. He thinks to himself "This is much easier than I thought. I just hope they listen to me still." His smiles fades as he continues in thought. "Maybe I'm trying to take too much control of everything... Maybe I don't know what I'm doing at all. I mean, look at where I am now. I'm not out there because of my decisions. If I say the wrong thing, I could get someone seriously hurt... or even killed..." Sebastion shakes his head and comes back to his senses.
He glances at the rooftop once again. "Kane, there's some bushes near the east side of the building in a corner. They will provide you with adequate cover against most attacks and still leave you open to help Mercy with Spasm. Of course, you'll put yourself at the same risk of being hit by the droids, so watch your back." Sebastion takes a deep breath and leans back a bit. "Let's see how this unfolds."
Timeline will increase Heru's damage by one to represent Proletariat falling over if he is hit. *
Timeline will increase Mercy's defense by one to represent warning her of the surrounding attackers. *
Timeline will increase Gigawatt's attack by one to represent his sweeping fire (or widening of energy beam, whichever it is). *
Timeline will increase Kane's defense by one (See Mercy's explanation). *
*Increases are only taken into account if the person in question takes a non-pass action.

Story: During the intelligence assessment, Heru had paid special intelligence, assaulting a rooftop had added difficulties as one had to assault very specific points unless one can fly. With a basic idea of the approximate locations and strengths of the enemy, Heru tried to develop a method that would make attack possible.
Heru started talking through the scenerio out loud, "We have the probable locations of the enemies showing the rapid slasher prowling the quickest point of approach to the stairs. The sharpshooter was also last seen in that area. The rest appeared to be located on the building proper. "
"It would seem that approaching the stairs would be a death trap, the team is too vulnerable to fire coming from the roof. That is it, we should split into groups based on the ability to rapidly support each other, the majority of the force splitting off and taking the land route."
Sebastian come over the headset, providing a detailed layout of how the battle should unfold. Acknowledgements were made, signaling a go ahead.
Heru considered it for a moment, it would be risky, but the cover that would be provided could mean life and death for the rest of the team. That made the decision all the easier to arrive to.
"See if you can set me down to the right of that box on the roof. I think that there might be someone that would like a little present. If I see trouble I will come back around and hopefully one of my fine teammates can greet it."
Heru nodded his readiness and was carried up towards the sky, and almost immediately hit the ground rather softly. Heru mentally thanked Michael for the smooth ride. He hit the ground running, saw someone close and hostile enough to label a target and tried to swipe at him saying,"You must be Proletariat. Well since you are the masses, I will attack you with all 10 fingers instead of my one blade. I think that you will suffer a slight depression when I hit, hopefully the your plan won't be a five year one."
The blow landed solidly, providing an excellent boost which sent the entire mass of Proletariat smashing into a utility shack on the rooftop. The ground caved in under Proletariat, sending him plummeting through the roof.
Heru rushed at top speed back towards the edge of the building wondering if that robot had understood the joke... He seemed to be rather uptight. Once Heru arrived back towards the end of the building, he extactically waved towards the heroes, letting them know about someone already down.
Action: Heru is Tked by Michael up to P-14, from there he uses HSS to run up to Proletariat and make a close combat attack from L-12. 11 AV versus 17 DV...needs a 6 or better. Heru gets a 8(4,4) and that is a hit resulting in 4 damage +1 because of Sebastian, but wait, there is more! With this special limited time offer, this attacks comes with knockback and 1 extra damage. This KO's Proletariat. Heru proceeds back to P-13.

Kane's system dissapeared, then reapeared in the shady bushes. He dropped to the ground, then rolled to the left, evading a series of knife attacks from Spasm.
"Man! You really don't like people nearby, do you? Must be how I smell, I apologize that I was called out on a mission during my shower time, I'll try to do better next time we fight."
Another series of attacks, and Kane was forced to dodge yet more. Ah well, he was a pretty agile little bugger...

Story: Brian stood for a second and watched as Heru charged in and killed his enemy with one hit. It surprised Brain. Such power was uncanny. "One hit wonder" he thought to himself, "Better not get on Heru's bad side!" Brian hadn't heard the voice since the last battle. He was glad. He thought maybe he was finally rid of this thing that plauged him. But now he started to wonder more about one thing. How was he back? it didnt matter much now. The time to think about such things was not now. He decided to go aid Heru in the battle. Brian zipped up beside Heru. "That was some amazing power man! Imma start calling you The Big Bang, because that was some power!" Brian felt he was not welcome, Heru just turned and looked at him before turning back tot he action. Brian decided he'd try a better joke next time.
