Ok, I'm really confused about Giant guy's and powers that affect adjacent figures (quake, posion, forceblast, etc.). Do these powers affect characters two squares away? Example (I'm sure everyone knows this one) Chemo using poison two squares away.
I never seem to get a very clear answer on this one. Thanks for the help guys.

The two square adjacency only works for close combat and movement purposes. So, if the Giants's power is activated by a Close Combat Action (like Quake), then yes, it will work through the whole two square radius. If it is some other kind of action, like Poison's Free Action, then the Giant must actually be adjacent (base to base) to other characters for the power to work.
In other words: Atlas' Quake at 2 squares = OK. Chemo's Poison at 2 squares = Not happening.
To go along with Normalview's post, try to look at each power/TA/ability question in these terms:
1) Does the ability in question involve the Giant's movement or a character moving into the Giant's reach? This helps resolve breakway questions (plasticity---yes!), stopping movement for non-fliers, and picking up objects with SStr (although I just realized I don't specifically remember the answer to the one for certain).
2) Does the ability involve some kind of action the Giant is making that results in a cc attack die roll (with the exception of Force Blast with no die roll). That resolves all kinds of question that are combat-related, but may or may not involve the Giant attacking. Poison, Defend, Support, JSA/Def would all be no; Quake, BCF, and CCE would be yes.

Those are excellent points to consider as well. However, I do want to make one little correction (and I bet clixer11 can guess what it is, since he has already stated that he couldn't specifically remember how this worked). From the General errata:
Giant Characters
• A giant character must be one square away from blocking terrain to destroy it.
• A giant character with Super Strength must be one square away from an object to pick it up.
From the Icons rule book, page 31 under (surprise, surprise) 'Giant Characters':
Standard-sized characters do not block line of fire to or from a giant character. Big characters and giant characters block line of fire to or from a giant character. Hindering terrain, blocking terrain, and elevated terrain affect line of fire to a giant character as normal.
So with giants, the clause with adjacency, when a small character moves adjacenct to a giant he stops two squares a way. Does he then have to roll a breakaway roll to move to base the giant to physically attack him? Or is this adjancency conisdered like hindering terrain, where the next turn you could move to base the giant?

Nope, he would have to break to move in. You are using the rules for characters, not terrain
Follow-up question to the above: does the giant have to breakaway to base standard characters two squares away (say, if Chemo wants to Poison a trio of JSA huddled together next turn)?

Yes. The two square adjacency for movement goes both ways.

I know this is a rule but it makes no sense for a giant to stop 2 squares away from a standard character. If the giant wants to, they should be able to walk right up to 1 square away to use poison, or whatever...
