I have Oracle on the card and i turn her dial to outwit or perplex. Then someone tries to outwit my power from ICWO. Can they do that. I forgot.
Yes. Anytime you are actually granted a power (like Outwit from Superman Enemy or Toughness from Force Field) that power may be Outwitted. Power-like effects (like Batman TA) that don't actually grant powers are not subject to Outwit though.
WK should probably fix that just so we have conformity.
Fix what? If it is a an acutal power, whether that power is an little colored square naturally occuring on the dial or a bonus power granted by a feat or team ability doesn't matter, it can be Outwitted. If it is something that mimics the effects of a power, but doesn't actually grant a power per se (Batman TA, Serpent Society TA, Life Model Decoy feat), it can't be Outwitted since it isn't really a power.
I guess I am not sure what you think doesn't conform. Could you please elaborate?
Here's one to flog your noggin, as it were:
- I have an Agent of Oracle that has its own Outwit. My opponent gets the jump on me and Outwits my Agent's 'natural' Outwit. On my turn, can I now give a power action to my Agent, turn Oracle's dial to Outwit, and regain Outwit for that character? It would seem, since the Outwit is 'granted' by someone else, that the answer would be yes.
To further bake brains:
- Once the above is accomplished, a really weird thing could occur: I could use my 'granted' Outwit to counter the opposing Outwit, thus regaining the 'natural' Outwit again on my Agent. This creates a paradox, since I shouldn't be able to 'grant' a power from Oracle that already exists on the Agent's dial... yet since the 'natural' Outwit was countered (and therefore, by definition, not on the dial) when the 'granting' was done, it should be possible to do this.
If the above are possible, that would make ICwO pretty powerful in the Outwit vs. Outwit standings. Yet another reason everyone uses the card ad nauseam, I suppose.

Your character's Outwit power is countered regardless of it being granted, on the dial, or both. Your character only has one Outwit at a time if it helps to think of it like that.

clixer11 - You're usually on top of this stuff... I just have my doubts on this one. There are only a couple things that can 'grant' a character Outwit... namely ICwO and Supes Enemy.
- So my Supes Enemy, ICwO(on card) & Outwit character gets his 'natural' Outwit countered...
...his fellow Supes Enemy toadie runs up next to him - still no Outwit?
...he takes a power action to turn Oracle to Outwit - and still can't get it back?
In other words are we saying that, no matter if a character has access to other sources of Outwit, once any available Outwit for that character is countered, that any additional Outwits it could gain are automatically countered as well? This seems to point to countering of Outwit for the character for as long as the counter lasts... not just countering the Outwit power itself - which is why is doesn't sound right to me. I apologize if this just makes you repeat your first response .
Well, it's not quite the same idea, but look at what happens when you counter Outwit, but the character takes damage, loses Outwit, and say takes damage again and regains Outwit. The Outwit showing up again is still countered.
However, I also understand that none of this is explicitly stated in the rules and perhaps should get a ruling from the RA.
I guess another way to look at it is your character can never have Outwit twice?
it would be cool if they made the anti-superman power read like outwit without saying "outwit" a la batman and stealth cause then lex luthor and brainiac could both gain two outwits...which makes sense from a story-telling stand-point.
Together as team, as they have been often in the past, they could outwit three of superman's four powers, one outwit each plus the outwit-like TA

This is exactly how it works. This question has come up occasionally in the past (usually in regard to Superman Enemy); once the Outwit is countered, Outwit is countered. The source of the Outwit (natural dial, ICWO, TA) is irrelevant.
OK, thanks guys. So if a power has been Outwitted, any additional sources to gain that power back don't matter, because the target power is countered for that character, period, until Outwit wears off. So no gaining back countered Outwit from Supes Enemy, and no gaining back countered OW, Plex, or Lead through Oracle-on-her-card. Fair enough.
This is interesting! The last time this came up (a multi-Supes Enemy team) the judge ruled it the other way. This is much easier than trying to remember "You Outwitted my natural Outwit, but then I have my TA Outwit, so I Outwit your Outwit, thus getting my natural Outwit back..."
