"I wanted to be called Super Volt!"

High atop Gotham City, a meeting is taking place on the roof of Gotham Towers Apartments. Batman slowly approaches Catwoman.

“What do you want,” Batman said.

“It’s about time you admit the girl has some skill,” Catwoman replied, slinking out of the shadows that hid her.

“She’s going to get herself killed if she keeps this up.”

“I‘d match her up against your sidekick any day.”

“Skill isn’t the problem. Her attitude is.”

“So work with her. Change it.” Catwoman said.

Batman ponders silently for a long time then throws Catwoman a communicator. He outreaches his hand and fires a grappling hook.

Nightwing stands over a console, the monitor showing Cyborg, his friend and former teammate.

“I’m telling you, man, it‘s horrible,” Vic Stone - AKA Cyborg - said.

“So another team moved in on your turf… I’m not seeing the problem, here.”

“There’s something not right about these guys. They’re creepy and way too violent. They don‘t care about the collateral damage at all, man, including bystanders. Someone is gonna get seriously hurt. What’s worse is Hawk left us to join them! We could really use your help man… let me show you some video.”

The screen cuts over to various scenes of the new superhero team causing all sorts of damage while stopping criminals. A black man in blue and black leather shoots a bolt of electricity that almost hits a pedestrian before it strikes a pickpocket fleeing a crime. Another image shows what looks like a man - though he’s made of many colors and strange substances - in a subway tunnel seemingly turning into acid, stopping a super-strong villain, but damaging the railing and almost causing a passing train to crash.

“So I press this and we can communicate?” Manhunter said quizzically.

“Yes, it’s how we keep in touch,” Batgirl said. “If you’re ever in trouble or trying to tackle a job and you need help, just give us a call and we’ll try and help. Just remember that accepting this means we can call on you when we want your help, too.”

“Yes, I know… I’ve got it. It’s a deal.”

“It’s strange… he usually doesn’t let outsiders in this fast,” Batgirl said as she was leaving. “It took forever for me to get in, and I got it easy compared to Huntress or Spoiler.”

“Why do you think he’s so interested in me?”

“I don’t know. He seemed to think you’d have connections - said something about your day job.”

Kate Spencer sat and marveled… did Batman really figure out her Identity and so quick? She realized she had to redouble her efforts to hide her identity.

Nightwing watched as a woman used her powers to create a bright yellow beam that blinded everyone, robbers, bank attendants, villains; then used an orange beam that seemed to knock back the stunned crooks.

“Contact Batgirl,” Batman said, startling him with his totally silent approach. “Tell her to bring Manhunter, Canary, Huntress, and communicator unit N293. We’re going to investigate...”

Gotham City. The mysterious new superhero team walks down an alleyway, celebrating after stopping another crime. Hawk looks especially jovial, holding the female team member Light Girl close, with one muscular arm over her shoulder.

“That was a good one…” Hawk said, patting Super-Volt on his back and laughing. “The way his hair frizzed up like that? Priceless!”

“I KNOW IT!” He said.

“You put on quite a show yourself, baby. You must have thrown that one guy, like, 30 feet!”

“All that matters is we stopped them,” said the Duchess. “And we accomplished our mission. Let’s get back to HQ.”

“Stop, Hank Hall,” came a voice from above. Looking up, they see a woman in blue dropping from the sky. “You have long been out of balance. I am the Order to your Chaos.”

“You-- you’re wearing a costume like DONS! A COSTUME LIKE MY DEAD BROTHER’S!” Hank Hall said, his voice filled with anger as he rushed towards the woman. She deftly dodged out of the way, using his own momentum against him with a Judo throw.

“You need to be calm, and regain your inner piece…”

“Why you…!”

“Hold it Hank!” Super Volt said. “You can’t charge in and attack a woman who hasn’t done anything wrong without thinking about your team…”

“But…”

“Yeah, baby, you should think about how we feel,” Light Girl said, smiling devilishly. “You gotta learn how to share.”

“Move in,” Batman said as he moved from his perch high above the street to intercept the new Superhero team.
