I was hoping some of this would generate some discussion. So here are the DC-related items from this issue.
1. Someone is going to bite the bullet in 52 in August. Wizard lays the odds on these characters:
Black Adam (500-1)
Rene Montoya (100-1)
Booster Gold (75-1)
Animal Man (30-1)
Ralph Dibny (25-1)
Steel (John Henry) (15-1)
I don't see it being Renee or Teth.
2. Freddy Freeman is going to take over the role of Captain Marvel.
3. One of these future scenes depicted in JLoA #0 is real:
Hal Joradn's wedding (pg. 6)
Lex Luthor vs. The Big Three (pg. 8)
The Death of Pa Kent (pg. 10)
The Engagement of Wonder Woman (pg. 12)
Superman Alone (pg. 14)
Earth-2 redux (pg. 16)
Batman Dead (pg. 18)
4. Lobo will be appearing in 52 in August (week 17).
5. Richard Donner will be working with Geoff Johns and Adam Kubert on Action comics.
1/6th of the Brothers Prob. '19-'20 Season: 15-13(8 events) 2 wins, 2nd XDPS PR 9-7, 7th SOC
1) I say Ralph is a dead man.
2) figures Freddy would take over.
3)I like the idea of E-2 Redux, cause that could mean E-2 Superman is still alive.
4) That bastich
5)see #4 :P
Ah, I get it. Hal marries Steel, and Pa Kent, who is a homophobe, finds out all this, knows Steel and Hal are friends with Clark and has a heart attack and dies, and Steel, feeling remorse, off's himself. Hal goes nuts, and takes all the power out of the central battery and goes on a killing spree, Cause it's time for Hal to kill again.
2. Freddy Freeman is going to take over the role of Captain Marvel.
We knew that already.

Hal Joradn's wedding (pg. 6)
Can't happen because as written it happens *after* all the other Leaguers get married including Wonder Woman (as shown) and Ollie (never gonna happen) and others (Bruce Wayne? Zatanna? Don't think so.)
Quote
Lex Luthor vs. The Big Three (pg. 8)
This'll probably happen. I mean, why not?
Quote
The Death of Pa Kent (pg. 10)
They've already backed away from doing this once. I can only seem them doing this if they really feel a need to tie into the movie continuity... which is always such a great idea.
Quote
The Engagement of Wonder Woman (pg. 12)
Not gonna happen. I mean, come on, it's Wonder Woman. People were upset enough when she was having sex with her black boyfriend.
Quote
Superman Alone (pg. 14)
So vague it could happen anytime. I mean, why not?
Quote
Earth-2 redux (pg. 16)
This is the only thing that felt like a plot being foreshadowed.
Quote
Batman Dead (pg. 18)
Please, please, please...
Nah, never gonna happen. Unless they want a big stupid gimmick like the Death of Superman. I wonder what the four Batman replacements would be like? Cyborg Batman? Kid Batman? Etc. But they've effectively already done this lame-### plot with the whole Bane backbreaking story, so it would be pretty pointless to do it again, not that that would stop them.
I really hope Animal Man doesn't die. For death... I'm going to say... Renee, as the big shocker no one saw coming. Steel would be too easy and Ralph is supposed to become romantically linked to someone during 52... then again, they do like killing off the Griffin JL... So maybe it'll be Booster Gold that will die, only to have Supernova revealed as... another future version of Booster Gold!
I'm fairly certain that at the Comic Con panel it was revealed that two of the future glimses were already in the works. Check out the Newsarama coverage of the DC panels.
"Come on Hulk! Where's the old boasting? The battle cries? Why aren't you bellowing about how you're 'the strongest one there is'? Could it be because... you know it's not true?"
"No. Because it's just too obvious."

Stuff like this is what made DC cool again, but they're starting to take this a little far... again. Example:
We haven't even solved the mytery of the missing year, and already we've had 6, count them, 6 major foreshadowings.
1. Myx anfd Darkseid have something planned.
2. The JLoA future stuff
3. The Monitors
4. Dan DiDio in DC Nation planning for a DC vs. Wildstorm event
5. Captain Atom as Monarch
6. The Domitors shouting the "remember the 52" line.
It's getting murky again.:disappoin

I got the impression that it was the Dark Knight Returns future, at the end of the first series when Batman pretends to be dead while fighting Superman.

Ralph is actually a pretty safe bet to survive. Over in the pages of "Detective Comics", Batman - when he was recruiting Jason Blood - makes a reference to Ralph. He says Ralph is currently unavailable but in no way makes it sound like Ralph is dead, just busy with other things. My money is on Steel (even though it wouldn't be the first time) or Animal Man (due in part to the foreshadowing with the "informing his wife" - which means they'll get a brief reunion or she'll be holding out hope until a body is delivered to her).
As for the event that I think will happen from JLA #0, I'm sad to say I think it's going to be the death of Pa Kent. It's been such a big part of DC history that's currently been repeated to us - via Smallville or "Superman Returns" - that I suspect the comics are going to bring that in line. Shame really as having the Kents around were one of the best things about the post-Crisis Superman.
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

So, yeah, I can see that happening.

I also thought the same when I read that. I also noticed one future that seemed a lot like the Kingdom Come future...
I'm guessing Pa is one of the plots which will be fulfilled. I'm hoping the other one in the works is Lex vs. the big three. I really like Lex being so emotional about Conner after stewing about it for a year or two.
