HSS and Perplex

Can you Perplex a HSS character 'mid-stride'?

Meaning, if I have a perplexer who cannot see a HSS character at the start of the HSS action may I:

1. Move the HSS character in the LOF of my perplexer.
2. Perplex my HSS character
3. Continue on with my attack of my HSS character.

My thinking is that Perplex and\or outwits need to take place at the start or end of your actions but I'm looking for clairification.

No you can not. you must perplex or outwit before and action occurs.

KC Superman is better against swarm teams.
V Icons is better for 200+ one man teams.

The Darkside is an easier path but never as strong as the light and always lead to destruction.

According to the rules you cannot perplex or outwit during another action, so to answer your question, no you cannot begin to move your HSS piecce then perplex them.

Well, how 'bout this for an "additional ruling"?

From the Danger Room PAC:

Quote

PERPLEX (OPTIONAL): Once during your turn (but not during another action), as a free action this character modifies by +1 or –1 any combat value (including range) of a target character, including itself, until the end of the turn. A character using this power must be within 10 squares of the target and have a clear line of fire to the target. This effect ends immediately if this character loses Perplex or is KOd, or if the target is damaged or healed during this turn.

I've never seen its equal...
