Just like the R and E, the Vet is overcosted and therefore not a first choice for anything but themes. Shave 10-15 points off any of them and they finally feel worth their points.
God is smarter than we are....

Win/Loss: 0-1 V Wizard has great support powers, but his 93 point tag is a grand disservice to this Frightful Four member. Very fragile, he can support a large, distracting team fairly well but doesn't add a whole lot of offense on his own. Fairly simple to play as a support figure but a very difficult character to pull off in any other capacity even for strong players. UPDATE: 2013 - with the new PAC Vet Wizard's 8 range Outwit & Perplex marginally improve his value.

Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
Not even a good player could pull him off? Ummm....im sorry but I think I can pull of incap, outwit, perplex, tk, toughness, mindcontrol and flight all for less than 100 points. This vet wizard would be a fantastic support peice on a scientist team. I know players have a hard time paying over 75 points for a support character, but this guy gives it all to you in one price point package. The carry ability, tk and his standard support powers make him viable and valuable in even todays format.
I would stick with the E over this Veteran. The E has more up-front TK (and can be pushed and retain it). Also, Perplex is always useful for a backline TKer. Moving up to Outwit consistently means the Vet isn't winning the positional game for his squad, and might well get him KOed.
