Continual. When this object is used in a successful close combat attack, roll one six-sided die and subtract 2 from the result, minimum result 1. Add the result to the attacker’s unmodified damage value for the attack. The damage dealt can’t otherwise be modified.
A few things I get out of this card. First, the die roll is modifying the attacker's unmodified damage value, so no Perplex/ICWO to the damage value allowed.
Second, no modifications to damage dealt are allowed. That would include the damage dealt modifier for:
1. this heavy object
2. critical hits
3. damage reducers, except if the Impervious roll is made, the damage dealt reduced to zero is a replacement value, not a modification.
4. Inertial Interference Field BFC
PDF still locks the damage value at 3, see Normalview's post below for a great rationale.

1. this heavy object okay

Since Power Dampening Field is a replacement value, and the rule of thumb is replace then modify, I think this card may allow PDF to replace damage to 3 and then have the damage value modified to 4, 5, 6 or 7 depending on the roll.
Nope. Just like a BCF roll replaces the damage value, but is still capped at 3 max damage, Meteorite will be capped at 3 by PDF. The key here is that PDF states in no uncertain terms that damage values higher than 3, become 3. There's no way around that. And since Meteorite doesn modify damage dealt, using this object along side PDF would be pretty pointless.
Granted, these are just my thoughts on the matter. I wouldn't mind seeing something official from the RA.
Based on the wording of the card, everything you said make sense; but I think the intent of it is instad of a flat +2 to damage dealt the designers were trying to make it a random + to damage dealt. However, they didn't want it to be abusable because the rule of 3 does not apply to damage dealt only printed values, so that stated that it had to be the unmodified damage value. If this is the case then I think we will see a ruling that damage reducers still take effect, and possibly that crit hits still add one.

Despite the tricky wording of the last sentence, I'm of the mindset that, had WizKids' designers intended for this object to ignore the effects of damage reducers, the would've used the term 'penetrating damage' somewhere on the card.

Yes, there definitely might be an "Oops, cover our buttinskis erratta on the damage reducers being modifiers", but maybe not. Which would be fine really, except annoying as far as paperwork...
So can I use this object more than once since it is continual?
No, "continual" means "continues to function while a character is holding it". Objects that aren't continual, like the Laser Turret, just become plain ol' objects when carried by a character with Super Strength.
So can I use this object more than once since it is continual?
No. "Continual" means the object's special abilities still work when it's being carried.
For instance, the Aerial Baffler is not continual, so when it is carried it does not ground flyers in its vicinity.

BOOO!!!!
I was so hoping to be able to continually bash people with this object for insane amounts of damage.
Anyway thanks guys, I couldn't remember what "Continual" meant for an object. For some reason I was thinking along the lines of the dumpster.
