If I were to use say Dr. Doom from Clobbering time and Awsome Andy. Since the Adjacent squares of a giant are 2 squares out can Dr. Doom Mastermind the damage?

Can Dr. Doom or anyone with mastermind transfer the damge over to a giant. I hope this wasn't a stupid question or if it was already asked. I just thought of this when looking at my Dr. Doom to assemble a team and thought of the Giants. Thanks for any help.

I doubt they can mm that far away, since Poison and abilities of the like only affect the one square.

The 2-square adjacency is only for movement and close combat purposes.

So possibly, if Doom were hit by a close combat attack, then he could MM it onto Andy, but not a ranged combat attack.

However, someone who knows the intricacies of the giant rules a little better might say otherwise, since anything good about giants always seems to get nerfed anyhow.

I'm gonna put my head out on the chopping block here and say no. Mastermind is not a close combat attack, so the two-square adjacency doesn't apply to it. Even if it did, only the giant can make a close combat attack at two squares out, not Doom.

I'd say no. If a giant fig had MM then I think you could, but not Doom onto a giant fig. Just my opinion.

From the Heroclix General Erratta and Clarifications:

When a character has powers or abilities that require adjacency to work (such as with Poison, Defend, etc), the giant character must be in an adjacent square (i.e. right next to) to the other character in order for either character to use those powers.

So no, in the example you give Doom cannot Mastermind damage to Andy, nor could Andy Mastermind damage to Doom (if Andy had Mastermind).

This is correct. Now, put Doom next to Andy and do all the Masterminding you want...just not two squares away.

Doom cannot mastermind to a giant that is two squares away. It doesn't matter if Doom was hit with a close or ranged combat attack.

The Giant rules have been pretty consistent since their debut. Little tweaks, maybe, but if it didn't work with Giant Man, it won't work now... and I know everyone just played the heck out of their Giant Man

Being REALLY REALLY excited about playing him with those AWESOME stats he had at 1st. both him and Gladiator were KAH RAZY. but then it was just some prankster who hacked into the WK site and changed the Stats.
