52 #31 - Rated 8 - Ralph figures out who Supernova is, we are left in the dark. Plus some stuff on an alien planet that gets wiped out, apaprently while Lobo and friends watch or something. Plus more badness with Lex's group of heroes. Good read still.
JSA #1 - Rated 10 - This is why comics exist.Johns should never ever leave this book. The JSa gets reformed with kids of old heroes. The best IMO is MA Hunkles granddaughter. She's hilarious. And crazy Starman is great. Not a big fan of Mr. America though. OH and Wildcat has a kid. Read this series, you will like it.
Supergirl #12 - Rated 9 - A pretty decent issue. I really like the art. Kara meets the new Terra and learns a few things about Superheroing. Still not REAL keen on the Emo-Kara but the issue was good none the less.

I know his whole "magic quest" thing probably helps but there's a reason even the Batman says Ralph is a better detective for certain kinds of cases. Love seeing him get some respect back in this series.
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

A lot.
And as I don't receive my comics until Monday mail arrives...I'll just have to glare at you for taunting me (well, not really - but thanks for the heads-up...wondered if there was going to be a connection between Thom and the new Starman and your "teaser" really has me wondering now. ).

I LOVED this issue! Rebel vs Damage was the ####! I loved when Kara Zor-L (yeah House of L), cupped Maxine's mouth and told her to shut up. Great stuff! If Johns keeps this pace, and regains his magic from thelast series, there is no reasn this book can't reclaim it place as THE BEST TEAM BOOK OUT THERE!
Today was a good day, to be a JSA fan!
PS-Love the last page!
1/6th of the Brothers Prob. '19-'20 Season: 15-13(8 events) 2 wins, 2nd XDPS PR 9-7, 7th SOC
I actually found this week's Supergirl to be entertaining. She actually seemed like she might be a real person in this particular comic, which was a nice shift from the over-exaggerated 'Emo' Supergirl of the first arc (or two?) of the series.
Supergirl and the Legion of Superheroes showed me the Kara Zor-El that I could actually find myself enjoying reading about. I think that Kara might actually start peeking through in the 'regular' Supergirl title now. And, that's a very good thing. It's just sad that it took them 11-12 issues to allow it to happen.

Didn't he have a daughter of the original Crisis who took over the role of Wildcat for awhile?
Not exactly. Yolanda was more of a "surrogate daughter" for Ted - he helped raise her and looked after her family and she called him "Uncle Ted" as an honourary.

My only question is when did Genis-vel jump companies? I guess when Zemo tried to smear him across dimmensions, part of him wound up in the DCU
Yup, definately see myself enjoying Starman (at least, untill he gets his mind back). He's the JSA's version of the Blazing Skull. Powerfull but totally nuts. Nice.
Now the real question is who on Earth are they going to fight? The assembled power so far is staggering. Plus, with the final page preview, the team could be getting even beefier...yowch! Villains beware!

Ah, ok. But whatever happened to her? Does she still exist or was she faded out sometime between Zero Hour and Infinity Crisis ?

She and fellow "failed replacement character" Dr. Midnight (note the difference in spelling from Mid-Nite) from Infinity, Inc. were slain by Eclipso when his book was being used to kill off "D-list" characters. Sadly, Yolanda did not go in a kind way.
Her brother, by the way, was the guy who wheedled his way in to take care of the JSA Museum so he could get a shard of the Black Diamond and become the Eclipso that teamed with Black Adam, Atom-Smasher, Northwind and Nemesis.

Great, thanks for the info. Much appreciated.
Gave ya some rep.
The ending to it was very niiiiiiiiiiiiiice. To the older legion fans out there: Was that DS?
And 52 could concievably bet setting up some nastiness with Starfire, Adam, Lobo, and Animal man........ a good set up for what could happen in........ 5 weeks when they finally check back in with them?
Yes, but you're a surrealist! I'm a normal guy!
Gil Zoo Crew or bust!
