When a giant uses the Shake Off feat, do characters 2 squares away take damage?

....but not with Shake off. His Leap/Climb negates the feat card. Shake off only works when you have to roll breakaway.

EDIT: Oh yeah.. I forgot you can turn off Leap/Climb. Ooops...

Yeah, but you don't have to use L/C. You can opt to make a break away roll.

So just don't use L/C. Shake-Off is always a nice card to play on Giants; works best on Giants with move and attack powers (so they can breakaway, trigger Shake-Off, then do a normal attack), but any Giant is helped by the feat.

The first time I saw 2099 Hulk I thought "Yes! Slippery + Shake off!"


And then I realized that Giants broke away on anything but a 1 or 2 anyways.

Per the Marvel E&C, no it doesn't.

Correct, you must roll breakaway for the feat to work.
