ok. i have been using this tactic for a while now. ok can a character sit on top of one of these and use the plus 2 to ur d even if they don't have super strength. i have been using phantom lady v the most. having her in stealth then have a 19 d with super senses.

No way. They only get the modifier if they're holding the object.

Correct. A character may only use an object that they are holding. If the object is not being held it is simply treated as hindering terrain.

well i am trying to be a judge so i wont be using it any more. but ty.

i want to know who would be a good annoyance piece with the desk. cause v phantom lady is lovely to me.

A Character with Super Strengh holding the Desk may use it for one attack adding 2 to it's DV, buth the Drone is not used that way at all. It gives the bearer a 4 range 1 damage attack, which may be useful for zero range bricks.

Who is sponsoring you to be a judge?

i am tryin to get a friend from my flea market that use to be one but he says he has to sign back up to be one again.

If he's a retired Judge, he may need to become un-retired. He may then be able to sponsor you, but if he doesn't run tournaments he runs the risk of being inactivated (never to become a Judge again, if this is the second time; this may not bother him). Once you are a Judge, you will need to find a Venue to run events at, or they could inactivate you as well.

What is your goal in becoming a Judge? Where do you plan on running events? Because the Venue you are going to Judge at, if it has been set up as a Venue, can sponsor you to become a Judge.

i want to try and set up one between my venues that i have been to[more closer to my house] driving a total of 80-160 minutes is not really that great when u have to depend on other people to play. but he is inactivated. on sundays i go to play at a flea market. we set up the booth now so people can come over and try the game. we are talking about having our own ngn in a couple of weeks. i talked to a couple of guys about heroclixs when i was sitting in a line. the guy had a gl shirt so i figured i would try.

You're trying to set up your own Venue? Have you looked into this at all? It was my impression that WizKids did away with "Game Clubs" and required Venues to be retail stores.

Under the Support tab on the WK site, under "Venue Issues":

Specifically, "select your type of retail location." Also, even when they were offering Gaming Club memberships, you still had to have a public address (not a home) to ship the prize support to.

I'm not sure that a flea market booth is going to meet the criteria for WK.

oh i didnt mean the venue be the flea market. the fm is just a place where a couple of guys get together and play. we all knew that we couldnt get prize support. it dosent matter. its there for us to have fun and play.

Okay, that's cool. But then, why do you want to become a Judge? If you don't run events at a Venue, WK will forcibly retire you (inactivate you) after a certain amount of time (I believe it's somewhere around two to four months without an event). If it's so you can have the official stamp of approval, remember that just being a Judge doesn't mean you know the rules any better than you did before they "certified" you.
