I'm looking to build a 600 point team including V Dr Strange. However, due to the tournament rules, I need specific comics that he was in, where he teamed up with other characters, such as the X-Men, FF, Inhumans etc.
I'm not so much looking for team ideas, just comics or series where Dr Strange helped out some of the main Marvel characters, specific instances and who he teamed up with.
I know he was part of the Defenders, but other than that, the Midnight Sons I've heard banded around, who of them is in clix, and are there stand ins for the ones that aren't?
Any help anyone could give me would be majorly appreciated.

He was also involved in a group called the Secret Defenders where he (or Dr. Druid :shudder culled together line-ups to save the world.
He was very active in the Infinity Gauntlet/War books.
But a really cool team was when he and Dead Girl teamed up in her miniseries. THee problem is that we don't have a ton of the figs. Here's a partial list:
Appearing that have a click:
Dr. Strange
Orphan
Mockingbird
Antman (II)
Gwen Stacy
Moira MacTaggart
Appearing without a clix figure:
Phantom Rider
Dead Girl
U-Go Girl
I can't believe the Illuminati weren't mentioned...
Doc Strange
Iron Man
Namor
Black Bolt
Professor Xavier
Mr. Fantastic
Also, the Midnight Sons are REALLY hard to make...
Doc Strange
Dan Ketch Ghost Rider (aka Ultimates)
Blade
Johnny Blaze was in, but not as the original Ghost Rider, which is the only version of him we have.
Morbius doesn't exist...
The Nightstalkers don't exist either...
(that sucks BTW, one of my favourite series')
Strange was also involved in Avengers: Disassembled when Scarlet Witch went loco.

The problem is, the build has to include every character that was in the team, (including replacememnts for none-made figures) VERY strictly allows only the themiest feats, and has to weigh in at 600.
So IG is out, as there were loads of characters in there. Ideally, I'd like to make a FF/Dr Strange team, or a Inhumans/Dr Strange team, or one with him and Silver Surfer. The only Illuminati team for 600 I can make is horribly uncompetative!

There's a 1 shot graphic novel Called Torment and Triumph where Dr. Strange and Dr. Doom team up to go into hell. With the Vet Doom and Vet Strange you're already up to a highly playable 308pts of team. Not sure who else is in it though
Well, let's see for the original Defenders and 600 pts a way to go would be (and, yes, I realize this isn't really the "Formation" forum but bear with me ):
I know you weren't really looking for team ideas but just bouncing something around here (especially since at first I was trying to see how feasible having all members of the Illuminati was at 600 pts and you're right, it's tough).

U Wolverine (SIN) 94

He did team up with the FF when they went back in time and squared off with Rama- Tut in Doc. Strange vol #1 no.53. Hope that helps.

Other memebers of the Defenders who could be subbed in : Silver Surfer (either the exp from supernova or the original unique. If it doesn't matter about team ability you could even put the vet on...but that is a lot of points...) Sub-Mariner (exp) or Hulk (exp) from infinity challenege.(Or, of course, the Vet Nighthawk if you don't have the LE.)
*Starhawk appeared in (I might be off by an issue or two) Defenders 47 so either the vet or the le would work well. The vet bringing support to the team and the le bringing PC upfront to help make it harder for people to hit the 18 defense you are sharing.
600pt Marvel Knights**
(Or 'Daredevil's Un-Named Super-Hero team')
Ult. Black Widow (vet) - Protected, Stunning Blow
Sin Daredevil (exp)
Dr. Strange (vet) - Heightened Reflexes, Nanobots, Protected
Iron Fist (vet) - Auto Regeneration, Vault
Moon Knight (exp) - Thunderbolts
Powerman (vet) - Nanoarmor
Ult Spider-Man (vet) - Nanobots, Pounce, Vault
**They have all worked together at one time or another, being new york based and all, but during the Marvel Knights storyline all of them were brought together to stop a supernatural threat. Many comics with the header that you can use as reference.
Wow, thanks for the responses. I'm not against you providing me with possible teams, but my figure range is limited to those characters I know well, so my collection is mainly X-Men, FF, Inhumans etc, so that's why I was looking for those kinda characters for Dr Strange to team up with, as I know he pops up everywhere from time to time.
I had the New New Avengers as one of my possible teams, a slightly different build, but I still like that idea.
If you have X-men, he was in a book with them. I don't know what its called (something around X-men the new class). It basically has the original X-men team:
Angel
Jean
Cyclops
Beast
Iceman
I don't know how cometitive this is, but just giving you ideas. Also Beast with brilliant tactician would be thematic.
