With the new Galactus, when using him as part of a force, the rules specify that his damage value becomes equal to the number of dials he started with when using Energy Explosion, but it does not mention Pulse Wave. It does mention both powers for the scenario Galactus, and the original Galactus Pulse Waved for damage equal to his starting dials when played on a force. My question is if the non-inclusion of Pulse Wave in the new "Force Galactus" rules was an oversight or if it was intentional. Is he supposed to be able to Pulse Wave for 3 if he started with his top dial when used on a force?
Also, the new rules state that if a character is adjacent to Galactus, Galactus is adjacent to that character. It doesn't specify movement or combat purposes, so would he be adjacent to a giant figure 2 squares away from him for the same purposes as the giant, or would it still just be for movement purposes? There seems to be no other reason to include this sentence in the new rules.

Actually, I'm looking at my Galactus rules right now, and the scenario part only mentions the dial damage thing for EE and not pulsewave, same as the "force" part. Looks like they did away with the pulse wave thing entirely...
*edit - "If a character is adjacent to Galactus, Galactus is adjacent to the character."
Just found that part... that would mean to me that Galactus can make a close combat attack against giant characters two squares away; they're adjacent to him, therefore he's adjacent to them. I don't think it really matters for moving, since any breakaway involving Galactus is automatic anyways.
*edit #2 - I just noticed that Big G ignores perplex (on a 5 or 6 roll) in the scenario rules, but it doesn't mention that in the force rules - is this different from the original rules?

No, it's not different from the original rules... but there is one difference there. You used to be able to Outwit his powers on a 1-4 d6 roll in the scenario as well; he's not Outwittable in the new scenario.
