What does it mean if the game is highlander rules?
This is happening in an upcoming tourney at my venue... sorry probably a noob question. QUOTED FROM WIZKIDS: "Highlander Rule w/ 2 exceptions. Multiple Man and Triplicate Girl."
Deadpool: This is Deadpool.
Phone: The mercenary?
Deadpool: I prefer "Well-Compensated Establishment Provocateur."
Phone: Ah, yes. Have you ever heard of the One World Church?
Deadpool: Nope
Phone: It's in France.
Deadpool: I'll pass.

You nailed it right there. It's reference to the awesome Queen video with swords "Highlander," which has the tag line "There can be only one!" Basically, all figures are considered uniques.
It usually means you cannot play duplicates of named figures. Generics are sometimes excluded though - meaning you could play multiple Hydra troopers or Shield agents. Check with the judge to see what the limitations are in this case.

You must physically decapitate figures to KO them, whereupon "the Quickening" occurs and the figure that landed the KO is cleared of all his/her tokens.
It's true!
Longest-Reigning Drunken HeroClix Champion - anyone got a liver?

It's true!
So, only play Taskmaster, Wolverine, Swordsman, Ravager, shirtless Ra's, and Talia al-Ghul
Lol, i thought it might be something like that, since it said the exceptions were mult man and trip. girl. Thanks everybody

Still check with the judge as Highlander can mean different things to different Judges. Some variations:
-Only 1 of any exact figure. Only 1 Vet Logan. But you could use a Vet, and an E Logan.
-Only 1 version of a character with the same name and sculpt (Only 1 of an REV set can be played)
-Only one fig of any named character. Only 1 Hulk no mater the REV or set it's from.
-Only 1 fig of any character (No using "E Logan", "V Wolverine" and R "Patch" as they are all the same.
-Many venues allow Generics played in multiples but some have different views on what a Generic is (figs like Scourge and Doombots can be points of difference)
The idea behind this is to prevent teams of 5 Mockingbirds or three Lockjaws.Trip. and Multiple Man will appear in comics as doulbes they are exempt. And like stated above usually generics as well.

I played one time in a tourney that went beyond that.
If I and my opponent had the same figure, both were set aside and no one got points for them.
