I personally don't think those characters represent power creep. Some characters are just meant to have those kinds of stats. When I think power creep, I tend to think Legacy V Batman. Or the KC's Flash and Green Lantern. But that's just me...

Yes, I'll agree with the Vet Batman remark, but if KC Flash and Green Lantern are considered Power-creepy, then so is Emperor Joker.

Yes the Power Creep pertains more then just HIGH DAMAGE

Were talking about High all across teh board, 12 speed, 12 attack, 20 Defense.

Hulk is powerful but starts very damagable with only toughness and is a GIANT as in a targer.

Doomsday has that high D but once he loses it he gains the really high attacks

Aries is 275 points, put him up against most teams and he'll lose in 300.

Amazo and Scar are both powerful but they have the right to be, remember one is a world breaker and one has all the powers of the whole JLA.

I don't really think they are an accurate comparison. The main difference I see between them is their starting clicks. Flash and Green Lantern both are ready to go from their first clicks as opposed to the joker who really only has one sweet click. Than there is also that whole 20 defense thing...

KC Flash is infinitely worse. High Defense and high mobility with a low cost.
Superman you have to time to get to that defense. I have had Zero difficulty dispatching "Happy Pants" Superman. Ask folks about dealing with Flash.

Yes the creep is back but it really pertains to the special powers and the way they seem to arbitrarily decide to inhibit some (Taskmaster Parasite Deadman) and let others go (Common Batman and New Hulks.)

Flash's opening 20 DV, because he automatically gets it, while superman needs to be very lucky or crafty to land on it.
Plus Flash gets 12 AV, 15 MV+HSS, and Outwit with his 20 DV. and pushing will diminish but not kill him.

Superman gets 8 AV and reverse MasterMind with his 20 DV, and since it's his very last click, is extremely unpushable.

also, superman is over 70 more points.

Very, very true, but head to head comparison was not the point I was trying to make. Surely, you don't imply that in the collective understanding Powercreep=Flash and Flash only, eh?
