Shockwave - can anyone see ANY use for this card? One person at a venue said that you would want to use it on a giant who is playing against figs with no range and you could knock them back so they would have to move in and get based then roll to break away to get in 1 more square for close combat. But you would have to know you were playing against a team with no range in order for that to work. Does this feat card have ANY use? First off you would have to be using a figure with quake, seconed why would you wanto to hinder them by not dealing damage? I mean I don't see it being useful at all, especially with all the other feats you could use, including the often hated more than useful Protected, you could use a combo of Streak of Luck/Monster Hunter, Inside Info/Monster Hunter, Lucky Break/Monster Hunter, etc., etc. I mean just seems like a plain out no use card.
I know...maybe when yer outdoors and on roofs...the 4-square KB could be nasty.
But yeah, other than that???
The problem there is it's still incredibly hard to set up, mostly because you can't use it with charge. You opponent should see it coming from a mile away.

"Unacceptable? Did you see the pool? They flipped the #####!"
Given the choice between doing 2 damage and 2 knockback or 4 knockback with no damage, I'll take the option with damage every single time.
Useless card!

Yep, ditto.

Yea so you can't even use this feat with the hulk on his first click, he doesn't meet the prereq. with a special power
NGN hulk doesn't meet the prereq. until click 7 then only has it on that click and click 8 so you would never use this feat on him. It would be more useful on Marvel Girl than NGN Hulk, at least when she gets quake she is useless anyway so maybe she can quake someone off a building or into a wall
If no damage is guaranteed, would you rather do four knockback or no knockback?
That's where Shockwave comes through -- it's not affected by damage-reducing abilities, so it will affect figures with Invulnerability or Impervious.
Is it a gamebreaker? Oh, heck no. This is more of a "fun card" than a powerhouse, but is that really a bad thing?

I would have to disagree and say this isn't even a fun card. The struggle you will have to go thru to even get an attempt at using this card makes it worthless. Even on elevated terrain, how many people sit in the middle of it. Most sit on the edge, where the regular 2 knockback would be enough in most cases. I have this card, but I just don't see any reason to use it. Maybe with the Unlimited Class Wrestling Event Dial, even then I think Force Blast would be just as useful.

Ah, carp, you're right. Boo.
I was excited for this card, glad to see a Quake feat. Maybe it's just a little insurance for a Quake: Option 2 then that may come in handy here and there.
I think it's a fun feat... but then I intend to use it with a telekinetic and bring my own strategically placed walls with barrier and perhaps an Inferno BFC. With that combination, I think the feat provides an excellent stealth busting option that simultaneously impacts opposing ranged units. Within that context it feels more useful than Repulsor, Force Blast or Whirlwind and if it isn't suitable to the situation, just turn it off and use Quake.
I know it doesn't do any damage, but if it gives me the slightest chance of forcing Batman out of hindering or Flash into range of the rest of my army, I'll use it often.
I was given rep for my screen name alone! Now I feel all warm inside
