So, who would you use? My buddy and I are running this game on Saturday. and I wanted some ideas. I have pretty much all the C/U/R from the last 3 sets, plus some of the SR like: Iron Spidey, Ares, Two Gun Kid, Hulk, Hulkbuster, Mastermind, Superman. The only figure I am set on playing is my NGN Hulk, other than that I am open to suggestions.
Also, there is no limitation on the number/amount of feats.

thats alot of points! Starro for 1000 half way there
If I had him, he'd be in
We always play big point games. It gives us the chance to 'stretch our legs' so to speak. I love playing big high point cost monsters And the only real way to do it is 1000+. We rarely play under 700, and mostly play 1000-3000. Our game last week was 3000, no figures under 100, maximum 50 points in feats.

we have to at the venue i frequent, but ours had to be same team symbol and no feats or bfcs.
I don't play tournaments anymore. No time/inclination. Just home games. We make our own scenarios, though we do get 'competitive' Lately, he's been moping the floor with me. My teams have been kind of lacklustre. And he's been pulling out all the stops. I did take down his Brotherhood Team with my X-Men yesterday, but I really want to win this weekend without being too 'cheesy' Though, to be honest, I just really want to win

I'd consider Iron Spidey to be a lock for a scenario like this. You're going to be awash in high-point figures, and the possibility of locking them down with Webbing is too attractive a possibility to forgo. I'd say that Mastermind would be a given - if only he qualified for Compel or Mental Shields. Rookie Bats is almost too good to pass up, but I'm going to suggest a somewhat unusual choice - Deadman. Because let's face it - at that point level, your opponent is going to have *something* that you want. Green Scar, Apocalypse, maybe a Herald. If nothing else, it'll be a wonderful psychological tactic...
I wont go into character specifics... but I would definetly pack Rip it Up. With all the SS figs that you are bound to have in there it could give you a nice edge.

Never thought of that, thanks

Well we had our game today. It was a blast, and very close. My team was:
SR Ares w/Fortitude, Shellhead & Endurance, T-Bolted to Suicide Squad
SR Iron Spiderman T-Bolted to Suicide Squad
SR Two Gun Kid T-Bolted to Suicide Squad
High Evolutionary
Rampaging Hulk
Gambit w/Armor Piercing
Danger
Hector Hammond
Arcade
Cuckoo x2
The Hood
Bouncing Boy
Captain America w/Shellhead
Mento
Chronos w/The Society ATA
Hourman
Amadeous Cho
Green Arrow
X-23
Ahab
Fabian Cortez
Captain Boomerang
His team was:
SR Silver Surfer w/Armor Piercing and Shellhead
SR Time Trapper
SR Two Gun Kid T-Bolted to Supes Enemy
High Evolutionary
Super Adaptoid
Iron Man w/Armor Piercing
Deadman
Rampaging Hulk
Mr. Mxlzplyx ( however you spell it)
Wiccan T-Bolted to Supes Enemy
Saturn Girl
Phantom Girl
Icicle
Merlyn w/Trick Shot
Batzarro
Aquaman
Black Canary
Moon Knight T-Bolted to Supes Enemy
Crossbones
I am sure he had other cards, but I can't think of them off hand.
Anyway, I won the roll, and went first. Moved out some figures. He went second and proceeded to KO my X-23 and Two Gun Kid on his firs turn, ouch.
Back and forth, back and forth the battle went.
In the end it came down to his:
Mr. Mxlzplyx on his 2nd click, and his Time Trapper on his/her first click, against my: High Evolutionary on his Power Cosmic clicks, Mento on his 2nd click, Green Arrow on his 2nd Flurry click, Arcade on his 2nd last click, Fabian Cortez on his last click, and Ahab on his 2nd last click.
He had Probability x2 and Super Senses on his side. I had Outwit and more figures on my side.
After I finally KOd his SR Time Trapper for the win, I had High Evolutionary, Mento and Green Arrow left. It was a great fun game
I have to say that Cortez is awesome. His special power rocks. I used him at one point to up Ares Damage. I rolled the 6 to give Ares the +3, and Ares dealt out 8 Damage to Iron Man and Super Adaptoid. Sure, I had to take 1 click, but it was well worth it. I used his power all through the game, and many times it was the difference between a hit or a miss.
Anyway, thanks for the ideas and suggestions. I am going to rep you all now for the replies.
Cheers

I was wondering how High Evolutionary and Hector Hammond did for you in such a large game? I just got them and was wondering how they would do

I have used Hector before, and he is a great support/secondary attacker. He really only has 1 weakness, his low Defense. But with his TK, Perplex, Outwit, Psychic Blast and an Attack that goes up in the middle of his dial, he is a great piece. Much more than just a TK.
High Evolutionary is another great support/secondary attacker, though a little more expensive. You want to push him to get him to those Power Cosmic clicks. He also has TK, Perplex, Outwit, Psychic Blast, and his Defense spikes in the middle. All in all he's a great piece, well worth the 143 points. I love that he can be a giant on your turn to see (over) your opponents, but turn the power off on your opponents turn so that they can't see him. Fun stuff
I'd probably play Hector more often simply because of the point cost, but Evolutionary is a great piece.
