One thing I hate to point out, but unless your floor tournament allows retired cards, you might want to switch out auto regen for streak of luck, and monsterhunter or maybe unstopable.

that team is ok

The only problem with this team is that Malice will tear it apart. A person could just stay out of Charge range and blast away while you sit there, unable to do anything.

However, if you feel Malice won't be a problem, then I feel this team could do fairly well, although Auto Regen is retired...

what are the rules for a theme team? if he's playing a one man army without any other figures, wouldn't he have a "theme"; therefore choose to ignore a BFC?

No. A theme team has to consist of at least 3 characters, and contain at least 1 character for every 100 points of the build total. 1 character in 300 points is not going to cut it.

Watch out for Armor Wars also, that BFC will wreck you.
