Ok, I've been playing for a long time, but I've also taken a hiatus from the game due to lack of players in my area. Now I'm finally getting to play more often again, and while I tried to keep current with changes and updates, there are some things that seem to have slipped under my radar, so I hope you guys can help an old dog get the hang of some new tricks.
Do the two versions of Galactus follow different rules? I have the original veriosn, does he still get Cosmic Multiattack, while the new one just gets Multiattack, or was mine nerfed?
At what point did Enhancement and S.H.I.E.L.D TA stop working with Energy Explosion? Also, everyone affected by the "splash damage" has to have had their defence score met by the attack? That's new, isn't it?
What's the deal with single target Pulse Waves? Am I reading this wrong? You don't replace the damage to 1? So basically, you just turn off all their powers and zap them if there's only one target? Can you choose to only target one character like this, or does there have to be only one viable target present?
Thanks in advance, hope I don't com off as a n00b, I'm kind of embarrased to be asking such basic questions after four years of playing, but I think I missed a memo somewhere.

I'll do my best. Others will pick up where I leave off or are incorrect.

New Galactus has Multi-Attack. Old still has Cosmic Multi-Attack.

I believe this occurred with the release of Icons. The splash damage attack portion being compared? I don't recall it ever being different, but I rarely used/use Energy Explosion, so I could be wrong there.

If only one character is target OR hit by Pulse Wave, the damage remains your normal damage value. So you IGNORE all of their powers (not turn off; there is a difference here) for the attack and do your full damage value. You target ALL characters who are within range of the attack, including friendly characters. You cannot choose who is targeted unless you maneuver yourself into a position where only one person is a legal target. And again, there can be more than one target in the attack, but as long as you hit only one, that one will take the full damage. Remember, you cannot use Pulse Wave if there are no opposing characters as legal targets. No more jump starting Con Artists with Blizzard.

You're fine. We all need a little refresher course now and then.

Ok.

There are other differences as well, such as the new one ignoring Stealth.

I'm pretty sure that this is all correct. A comparison has always been needed at least since te Universe rules.

This is incorrect. The damage of PW is determined by the number of figures withing its range and has nothing to do with the number hit. If more than one figures are within the PW range, you will only have a damage of 1, even if only one figure is hit.

Energy Explosion deals damage equal to the number of times a character is hit, thus damage value is irrelevant. Enhancement increases damage value, not damage dealt or "number of times hit".
You do have to beat the defence of adjacent characters to hit them with a "splash". Hindering terrain bonus to defence doe snot apply. I don't believe this is new.

Pulse Wave ignores (doesn't "turn off") all powers, feats, and team abilities of opposing characters within the power's range.
Pulse Wave affects all characters within half the attacker's range. You don't get to choose which ones to affect or how many - it affects them all. You aren't targeting any of these characters.
If there is more than one character affected, your damage value becomes 1. Otherwise it is your current damage value (which you may have Perplexed earlier, if the Perplexer is outside the area of the Pulse Wave). You can't choose to only affect one character in order to deal more damage to it. Even if you roll low enough to only hit one of them successfully, you still deal just 1 damage.
Elevated/blocking terrain is very helpful for attempting single-target Pulse Waves, because Pulse Wave is affected normally by terrain (including the +1 bonus to defence from hindering terrain).
