(this time I'm in the right place)
Someone asked about the combination of Brilliant Tactician and the "Inventive Genius" of Mr. Fantastic. Mine is about the same feat and the special power "Wand of Watoomb" of the new Dr. Strange. How many time will I have to roll the die ? One time and everybody gets the +/-2 if I get the good result, or once for every target ?

Brilliant Tactician: When the character uses Perplex, the character can affect every target friendly character that shares a team symbol or keyword with it. The character must have a clear line of fire to each target.

WAND OF WATOOMB: Dr. Strange can use Perplex. When Dr. Strange uses Perplex, you can roll a d6; on a result of 5 or 6, you can modify the target's chosen combat value by +2 or -2.
I would say that you need to roll once for each target.

I disagree. It says "when he uses perplex" to roll, not to roll for each target affected. He is not using perplex multiple times, just affecting multiple targets. I think that you roll it once and then the target (or targets) are either given the +1 or +2.
Well, I AM pretty awesome.
An understanding of the law of large numbers leads to a realization that what appear to be fantastic improbabilities are not remarkable at all but, merely to be expected.

It would be for each target.

If I were ruling I would say you roll once and then apply the EFFECT to every friendly character.
Awful good combo but as always there are several ways to beat it:
1. Block LoF (Barrier)
2. Knock the good Doctor off his PreReqs.
3. Prob Control the roll
4. Defeat the people he wants to Perplex
5. Tie up the perplexed figures with bystandards
6. Thwart the feat
7. Outwit the Special Power
8. Play the Overconfidence BFC
"A Jester unemployed is nobody's fool." - The Court Jester "And so he says, I don't like the cut of your jib, and I go, I says it's the only jib I got, baby!
Maybe the confusion is because Special Powers shouldn't be combined with already powerful feat cards?
The 10% feat limit will curb the abuse. In a 300-pointer, BT only leaves room for one or two other feats.
God is smarter than we are....

Man, the Illuminati teams will have incredible potential come July. Take Mr. Fantastic, Dr. Strange, Blackbolt, Iron Man and Prof Xavier and give EACH of them Brilliant Tactician! Every turn you have the potential to adjust your teammates stats by +7 EACH!

That's just over 800 points though, so I'm not sure it would be worth it.
At least you do not need to put BT on Professor X - his Special Power already lets him Perplex anyone with a certain keyword (like Illuminati...)
I don't know dude, lets see what the new Namor is going to cost, it may be more than we think! But honestly, an 800 pt team where all the characters can add +3 to damage and then +2 to attack with some left over modifiers to increase their movement or range? This will allow them to do so much damage that I can't imagine it not being worth it. Let someone else spend their points on the likes of KC Superman. It won't matter when you send Black Bolt in there to Pulse Wave him for 7 clicks with his attack up to a 13!

For the sake of argument, let's assume Namor is in the 150 point area, like his FF Vet and Avengers versions. That means the Illuminati are a 1000 point team, and that, in turn, means KC Superman is only a quarter of the opposing team. What do you think the other 750 points of opposition are going to do when you try to set up a PW nuke?
Personally, I would make sure to keep an ally or two close to Superman while he moves up, ideally positioned so that Black Bolt cannot draw line of fire to Superman or use Pulse Wave without also hitting the allies - it doesn't matter if his damage is 7 when there are multiple figures in PW range.
My point is simple: A lot of high-cost guys run a big risk of being swarmed and outmaneuvered simply because of the action deficiency. The Illuminati would probably be fun to play, but they would probably meet some stiff opposition as well.
