It's been quite awhile since there was an active Indy rating thread, so since we've re-evaluated a fair number of people in the main one, have a fair number of new Indy comics that have come out since, and have new posters, I think we should have a new one.

Question: Should D'bra move down to M-SHW?

General opinion based on her bio in the lasp GAP tournament was she would hold off, but lose, to the other strong H-SHWs, which I agreed with, and she mainly relied on ranged sniping/exploiting a foe with a low mental defense (since she has mind spells, but not particularly specialized in it).

I am tentatively moving her down.

Also, I'm adding two members of the Jade Edge Guard from Gold Digger to the list as H and M -MWs, Gar and Sheila. Both are werejaguars with enchanted weapons that shoot lightning and ice respectively, but Gar's the better fighter, and Sheila lacks the normal enhanced strength of a werejag in her jag form (but has it in her human form- which means, regen and speed, or strength, not both), hence the catagory difference.

If youre going to run a full-fledged Indy characters power level list, which I certainly favor, Im tempted to remove all Indy guys from the Main List, leaving them to you and whoever of us contributes to it here (a seperate Indy Character List can be made a sticky in The Arena quite easily).

As for Buffy guys, I would say Buffy herself would make probably a decent enough M-MW, Xander more of a non issue under-LW, and Willow I suppose somewhere in the HWs (maybe Low, as Mags has her listed).

I wouldn't go erasing too much stuff just yet. This didn't really work before is because no one knew most of the characters except the nominator, so they all only had like 1 vote a piece.

Thats pretty much how these guys are now on my list anyway (cept the more popular Indy guys, most of them pretty much have a single vote, Id imagine from Q)

Also, since there's a much smaller number of Indy characters worth mentioning, it stops getting new posts after awhile.

Eventually this one will fall off the front page too.

Often, yes There are other people who did signal vote characters- honestly I don't know a lot of the characters here.

Oh, and instead of worrying about the publisher, I'm going to more keep track of the comic title/shared universe.

Crossgen are all of the same universe so that's useful, but saying something's Image or Vertigo tells you little, and doesn't help you find the character quickly as much.

You could always have a link to this updated Indy Nom List on your signature, and have someone else suggest to the Mods to make the Main Indy List (which could also have a link to the actual Nom List on it) a sticky, both of which are easily done and would make the update and adding of such Indy character weight classes no trouble at all.

Yea. I'm guessing it was because not as many Abe comics were out then.

Where would you put him? He's not insanely badass, but he's not a L-LW.

Probably low or middle middle weight. He has superhuman strength and toughness, but not a huge amount of it.

I wouldn't put him in the MWs- after all, he's not bulletproof, or stabproof (although he does heal well), a good knock on the head can KO him, and his best offense is carrying a gun which he uses as well as a normal, non-exceptional trained human.

Maybe a H-LW?
