Skraal (skull infiltrator), Princess Python, Whirlwind and the exiled Scientist Supreme stand in the courtyard of Castle von Doom, facing a regimented block of Doombots.

The humbled Scientist Supreme looks around in bewilderment. "Where are we?"

Princess Python. "Latveria."

Whirlwind. "Impossible. I don't have my passport yet."

Princess. "I'm telling you -- Latveria."

Skraal. "Baah, it hardly matters. Who can keep your petty and trite social divisions straight anyway."

Supreme. "Latveria? Impossible. Doom would never dare kidnap me."

Whirlwind. "Ummm, have you ever actually met the guy?"

Skraal. "Enough with your squabbling, apelings." The skrull turns to face the unmoving ranks of Doombots. "The Skrull Empire will not tolerate this abduction! Your petty master cannot interfere with our invasion!"

Whirlwind. "Are you sure this is Latveria? Those kinda look like statues. And look at those two -- those are some real old models, maybe 60's. And what's up with THAT one? Is that even a Doombot?"

Doombot 5953. "Congradulations, your petions for political asylm have been graciously accepted by Lord von Doom. The happy and contented people of Latveria welcome you. Before you can be assigned to suitable government enslavement, our Lord von Doom has decided to allow you to personally negotiate with the representatives of Roxxon Corp presently in this courtyard. Our Lord says to tell Roxxon "No.""

Princess. "Like I said -- Latveria."

The agents of Roxxon wait to hear from Victor Von Doom in his courtyard.

Red Skull - "How dare he make me vait! Victor is a fool if he zinks I vill just overlook zis inzult!"

The Red Skull spits out his words with contempt as Crossbones quietly listens and sharpens one of his many knives.

Ghost - "What the deuce?"

Ghost looks over the forcefield that seems to box them in then tests it out a bit.

Ghost - "It appears we may be in a bottleneck, folks. I can't pass through this."

Sidewinder - "What? Impossible."

With that Sidewinder disappears...only to reappear a few inches from his original position.

Sidewinder - "I...I don't understand. How can this block us out?"

Red Skull - "Fools! Zis is Victor Von Doom ve are speaking of! He can create nearly anysing his varped mind can conzeive of. His intellect is overshadowed only by his arrogance."

Spymaster - "That's great and all, boss, but if he invited you here...why is he trapping you as well?"

Red Skull - "Vatch your tongue lout or you may find yourzelf vithout it. Now move out and scout ze area!"

Red Skull - "Shrike, ve vill zet-up over there. All of you, zpread out and find out vhat you can."

Shrike grabs the Skull and a nearby piece of sculpture and flies South.

Ghost - "Whatever. I'm going to see if I can find a way to shut this wacky force field off."

Spymaster - "You all do what you want. I'm finding a way out."

Ghost and Spymaster go their separate ways as the others look around puzzled as to what to do.

Roxxon Turn 1A

1) Killer Shrike picks up Red Skull and the HO at I-17 and flies to I-22, placing Red Skull in J-22.

2) Ghost phases to F-11.

3) Spymaster runs to N-20 [Stealth].

Red Skull will Mastermind any damage to Killer Shrike.

3) "Lord von Doom insists you perform your duty." Doombot 0001 grabs Princess Python and flies over to M-6. He sets Princess Python at M-5.

The eyes of the Doombot Processing Hub flash red. "Downloading Negotiation Protocals."

Free) "Free agent, code-name Ghost, you are hereby ordered to to return to the Negotiation and prepare yourself for the Latverian response." Doombot 3095 copies Superman Enemies and outwits Ghost's phasing/teleport.

The others look at one another and shrug their shoulders.

Kazzigum, I assume all the Doombot's copied S.E., that's the only way that outwit would work (if 2 S.E.s are adjacent the more expensive one gets Outwit).

Holy Hell! 5 possible outwits, Batman!

I think only #1 and #3 have to copy it for #1 to get the OW. However, if they were to switch to Skrull TA, the OW would immediately go away.

Surprised to see that Doom isn't here. I would have guessed that he was Latveria's top upgrade priority.

Looks to me like Kaz is trying to get the Doombots enough stats for 2 upgrades in one battle (SAs and ASTs maybe?). Then he can town down the number of them next battle and bring in the big dog.

Nah, you guys just need to watch how I play more. Doom is not here because this cast fits the story I'm building better at this time. I have no concern for Doom upgrading anyway -- he's great and it won't take too long I'm sure.

Red Skull - "Deathlok, keep an electronic eye on Ghost. I do not trust him."

Deathlok - ...affirmative...tracking mode...

The machine lumbers off only to find Ghost has stopped dead in is tracks.

Crossbones - "So you can make a magic carpet and get me past that field?" He asks of Dr. Spectrum.

Dr. Spectrum - "I'd explain to you the complex workings of my powers...but I doubt I could do so monosyllabically so that you may understand."

Crossbones - "Whatever Doc. Just do it and maybe I won't stick you with one of these." *tosses a blade between the Doctor's feet before being propelled forward*

Sidewinder doesn't say a word, instead choosing to silently move behind Spymaster and the rest.

1) "Commence negotiations." Doombot 3095 launches a small wrist mounted missile at Ghost (EE). 10 AV (9 + 1 Hydra) vs 17 DV, needs a 7. Roll is (4, 3), hits. The missile strikes the ground at Ghost's feet and explodes. Ghost's super senses roll is -- 1, he fails to respond in time and is caught in the shrapnel. Sidewinder too is showered in shrapnel. Sidewinder's super senses roll -- also 1. He, too, is catch dumbfounded. Ghost and Sidewinder both take 1 click. Doombot 3095 gains 1 SA. The Doombots gains 1 AST.

2) "Well, I don't know about you guys, but if Doom says to do somethin', I do it." Whirlwind zips around the forcefield to R-16.

3) "There must be a way out of this courtyard." Skraal runs to I-3.
