If someone asked me to use their phone to roll dice, I'd probably find the nearest science type person I could find, slap them sideways with an ill-favored flounder and scream invectives concerning priorities in tech development.

After that I'd let 'em use it.
I'd suggest salmon. I mean, what did a flounder do to you? Is that why you're missing a pinky toe?

Good ol HCRealms. Where dials are "garbage" if it's not their favorite character and everything is overcosted.
A reason for this besides people would buy it, is the Dennys Diner crowd. Back when I was a server their theyd show up to play Dnd and Vampire. Only problem was that sometimes the manger on duty would put a stop to it because the dice rolling would always not only distract but make them think theyre gambling. This would put an end to it.
I would only allow it if both players used it so if it was 'loaded' both players got the benefit.
'The game used to be built around many fundamental rules. But there are a number of figures that fly in the face of those rules. Their powers are too all encompassing, and too cheap.' -MegaLotusMan
It's gone through a vetting process to get onto the Apple App store, which is an entirely closed system so there's no way to 'load' the dice. The only way to get the app on the iPhone is through Apple.
And I ask becuse dice HATE me. I'm thinking of writing a book: "If I Rolled Dice in Vegas Like I Do in Heroclix, I'd be a Millionaire!"
Also, everybody knows if you are going to start Fish Slapping® you use a pilchard. Unless you really want to get the job done right in which case you use a halibut.
Can I flip the question? I often think it would be cool to buy stone dice from a museum gift shop or have ye olde wooden dice, but those seem like they would be even more vulnerable to tampering and more suspicious to me. What do people think of low tech dice? Or am I just overthinking things and sucking the fun out of the game?
