I knew that guy was bad news. A couple of years ago he ripped me off on the WK site. Then, a few months later, he tried to make a trade with me here. When I asked him to ship first, he refused saying that due to his higher feedback, he shouldn't have to. When I calmly, and nicely, said that I'd be willing to give him a second chance, he got all defensive. Then he started spouting excuses, and finally he told me that he wasn't going to be trading to Canada anymore.......which he then proceeded to do with other traders.


Chump. Him and his little 'posse' (Timashi and one other guy whos user name escapes me at the moment).

Glad I didn't trade him my X-Box now.....

Uh, well, My 2 cents about Npolly, when i had around 10 itrader, he pm'ed me about a COG surfer for a Magog, i knew it was too good but after looking at his itrader, i said to myself "how can this go wrong?". So i went to the post office, and the woman there said "YOU SURE YOU DON'T WANT A DC NUMBER?" and i said i was fine. Npolly never told me the status of the figure, never bugged me, and i thought that it was my fault that i never got a DC number for it. Well, after a couple of months, looking at Npolly's status and Canada Post's shipping record (never lost a package, EVER), i knew he probably took it and never gave me anything.

yep he stiffed me for a Parallax and about 30 SI figs...and I got nothing in return... just a couple of lies .. so we'll see how well mail fraud goes tho

Wow. Npolly has a 3 digit trader reference. I recently traded with him successfully and sent him a case of starter kits for his students (I hope he really had students).

One would have thought dealing with a triple digit trader, you'd be safe..
I even sent 10 extra pieces along he didn't ask for, just to help the kids as I didn't want them sitting here dusting, when kids could have fun with them.. goes to show even the good Samaritan gets you nowhere!

He's certainly scarred me from trusting very many here, especially those who demand I send 1st with almost 40 reps. I still send stuff before I get it to folks who converse in PMs,and have traded with me before, but those days are getting behind me a bit...

That's funny because I had written you about a month ago on my issue with him and received no response.

To me, guys like npolly are worse than lojo. Like some of the other folks who have posted on this thread, I've had a bad dealing with the guy.

(I should clarify that the "npolly" I dealt with gave me the name "Richie Loe" and not "Norman Polly." Back in January, I saw this thread and laughed my tail off.)

Anyways, this guy had one of those "Clix for my students" scam threads up back in late October '07 so I had sent him an initial volley of Justice League figs for a Cosmic Justice Green Lantern that was glued to the base. About a week later, I sent him another batch of figs for a Power Ring SR. My fault for sending the second batch when he hadn't even provided a DC # for the first batch (I was a total noob back then; now I know better).

After I sent him a couple of PMs on the subject with no response, I went to mods for help. The dirtbag then sends me a PM saying that he didn't like my "tactics," made up a lame excuse that he could only send on Saturdays (something he NEVER mentioned in any of his previous messages), and threatened to post neutral feedback.

Being a noob, I said "screw it," tossed the guy on my ignore list with the rest of the scammers, and chalked the trade up as a loss. I was dealing with another scammer at the same time (Flash51), so I decided to cut way back on trading.

About a month later, the Green Lantern arrived in a beat-up box with the postage meter stamp all blacked out (which I'm certain he intentionally did to delay the delivery), and the figure itself wrapped in nothing more than a paper towel.

I never bothered to post feedback for that phasing GL because dirtbag scammers like that are quick with the retaliatory feedback (yet slow with the shipping for their trades... go figure).

Around the start of this year, I decided to try trading again but with a focus on the more reputable folks. Being informed helps keep the scammers away. Watching out for your fellow traders helps, too.

Funny ending to this post is that I had a trade thread up several weeks ago and npolly bumped it -- either he apparently forgot he had ripped me off in the past, thought he could scam me again, or someone else was using the screen name (again) and wasn't aware of that old trade.

Its funny how he had so many issues, i mean, from 2007 to now, he has been having issues. I'm sorry but, if you have issues, DON'T TRADE.

I just had a trade with him and he sent the figs..he only forgot the Stardust card....he said he'll try to get it out, but never saw him since....been hesitant to give him negative feedback for a card though.
