Either I'm ignorant, but there seems to be a difference between the two. It seems to me that any warrior could use Execute, and that Pyroblast is fire mage exclusive (That means Ice Spec mage abilities too ^_^).
This is gonna be one heck of a game, that's for sure.
only problem with playing execute on thrall would be that im pretty sure thrall is a hero and it can only be played on ally's ....that card would just be busted lol.
however i do agree that this card is going to more then likly be a 4 of in everyones deck, since it dosent require an actual warrior hero to play it.
This was one of the cards present in one of the demo decks and during the demo I really never got much of a chance to use it except once. With the way the game plays it's not all that common to have damage on an ally since more times than none you'll be attacking into the Hero character anyways (so you can be dealing damage to a player's HP).
I did pull it off once though and it was fun when I did it. But besides that I don't personally think it's as much of a staple as it seems to you folks. Then again, I only saw demo decks that are more than likely starter decks for the game. So there's a good chance that it could be that good when combined with cards that we don't know right now that will be released in the first expansion set.
Hopefully there will be some "fizzles" to counteract that. R&D was pretty good about balancing things in VS. I'm sure they'll do the same here.
Because there's only the one Counterspell in WoW, there's only going to be one in the WoW TCG. I do happen to know how much it costs, but I don't know if I should leak that tech.
I'll probably let it out of the bag once I talk about it in an article.

This is a very insightful comment. I imagine that Execute will be most useful against decks that use protector cards to try and stall for a big 8- or 9-drop (i.e. Thrall).
I don't think its going to be that good of a card. Somewhat because you need a warrior hero, but I think you should be able to kill allys without having to use it. I can see it being awesome against a Protector Ally, or in a deck with a lot of weenie-type allys, but otherwise I wouldn't want to use this card unless it was on an ally that had large health.
Im gonna have a button on the side that plays the "Finish Him" sound from Mortal Combat when I Execute
But anyway, Execute is good, but not against decks that run no allies, but we don't know if you can even make a good deck like that. If allies basically = a must, then god help us all
