Pretty awesome piece and so tough to beat. Range of 10, pc AND outwit and mastermind are deadly. Then there's the regen at the end of the dial. Immortus is one of those pieces I dread seeing on the opponents side of the board.
A fantastic, board-dominating figure. This is not how I envisioned Immortus. I figured he'd be annoying but not devastating. This figure packs a crazy punch with his stellar AV, long range with triple target, abundance of psychic blast and two top dial clicks of incapacitate with 3DaV that beg for stunning blow. Immortus' DV is quite poor for a figure so costly but with the first half of his dial holding Mastermind and the second half holding regeneration (5 whole clicks of it!) the guy is extremely hard to put down for the count. The 5 clicks of regeneration make him the biggest poster-boy for 'Automatic Regeneration' since The General in DC Unleashed. That plus stunning blow make him even more expensive but even if you go 25 points further yet for fortitude to protect his mastermind, he's STILL going to dominate! The only thing that would've made this figure better would have been if they'd made his pope hat detachable so you could collect multiple copies and stack the hats!!!
I gave this guy all 5's. He's crazy good. Outwit, PC, nerfs opponents PC so he can use Outwit on Defense, Mastemind, 10 Range 2 Target Incap, and all for 157 points. Ouch. I have only used him once, and I put Fortitude and Stunning Blow on him. He was a beast. The only Damage he took was a push at the end of the game to finish off my opponent. Brutally effecient. I can't wait to play him again. If he had Move/Attack (IE Running Shot) he'd be broken.
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........
My Vote for most Underated Piece in Secret Invasion, as anyone can tell you this guy is a Monster. I Last played him in a 6000 Point Group game of HeroClix Vs Mageknight, My Immortus KO'd 11 Figures.
Great piece to warbound to 2099 Hulk. Hulk carries him around, and Immortus loves having that much damage resistance as mastermind fodder. And if your opponent bases Immortus to cut down on the triple incapacitate or psi blast, Hulk can just punch over his head. I haven't lost a piece when those two hit the board together ...
This is one of two figs with 5 clicks of Regeneration. The other is The General. The 5 clicks isn't even the sickest part, the sickest part is that he Regens into Mastermind!
Played this guy last night - ran him with some good fodder (Karnilla and M-11), Fortitude and Auto Regen in a 600 point game, and he dominated. He truly lives up to his name.
Immortus is a master of time in both the comics as well as in clix. He's got a good SP, stats, and a long life. Plus if anything gives him a lease on life its 5 clicks of Regen. That being said, Immortus needs mad help to be useful - and I'm not talking Mastermind fodder. His low defense burns through his life, especially in a gaming environment that has a lot of flurry in it. Feats are required, I feel, and with them he can be extremely potent. A good, straight forward figure for most players, especially if you play the ranged game (and don't face Outwit), otherwise he's a neat yet pricey support figure. Interestingly, would have completely stifled the 2010 World's Champion team.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
with only the automatic regeneration feat, he was left one on one in our coming of Galactus game, and he was WINNING!, took out a dial and a half, Galactus couldn't kill him with just one hit, and he would just Regen up to full, using prob. if the timer wasn't on, I would have won. Galactus only had one click left >.< , the world got eaten, but I argue that Immortus escape into the nexus of time lol
Anyone ever try running multiples of this guy on the same team? I was just thinking that if you had - say - three of these guys on a single team with Auto-Regen on them they could last a very long time just by Master-minding to one another, healing up, and causing so many re-rolls that it would force a lot of misses by your opponent. Could be fun to try!
Let's Play "Whoizzit?"
My Avatar is an as-yet-un-clixed character. If you know who it is, be the first respondant to correctly identify this character I'll send you some free rep!
I would really like to play him along with Kang or Kang the Conqueror from Supernova! It'd be a really fun team!

Only problem with that idea is Mastermind damage has to be put on a character with a lower point value.
How much can you take, and keep moving forward?
