BFC: Arachnos plays their Players Choice Award: Communication Breakdown and picks Damage as their value of choice.
Before the beginning of the games's first turn, the player playing Communication Breakdown choose one combat value; that combat value cannot be modified during the game. When rolling a six-sided die for Leadership, subtract 1 from the result.

From the ashes of Paragon City... it rises!
(Attack) Manipulate: The Chief can use Leadership. If Leadership would allow you to add an action to your action total for the turn, you can instead put a Manipulate token on the Chief's character card if there are two or fewer Manipulate tokens on the card. When another friendly character would take pushing damage, you can remove a Manipulate token from the Chief's character card and roll a d6; on a result of 3-6, the character ignores pushing damage.
(Defense) Strategist: The Chief can use Perplex and Mastermind (he can deal the damage to a friendly character that has a higher point value if that character shares a keyword with the Chief); damage transfered using Strategist may not later be dealt to the Chief.

Yeah, objects count as modifiers to damage. Sadly, the best way I could think to counter Black Adam was not with a particular lineup, but rather with using my BFC prize against ya.
I must admit, I have been much looking forward to our match, especially cause this is the first time I have busted out Captain Mako, but alas, I am just far far too busy at work and home.
That is why I am designating my bro as a sub for me this match. Sorry to do that, but I gotta do what I gotta do.
The good news for you, is that when MB and I serve as subs for people, we tend to roll completely horribly, so that just greatly improved your chances.
Here's my setup. You're home, so you actually get to choose who goes first.

free) Torquemada's leadership fails. Jinx PC's it and it still fails (remember, Comm Breakdown makes it -1, though that didn't matter here.)
