BFC: Mistrust

When characters that have the same team symbol or team ability are adjacent to each other, modify their defense values by -1, to a maximum of -1.

Specifically, Mistrust and a wild card copying the Suicide Squad TA. Does "using" the TA constitute having it for the purposes of the BFC?

No.

Look again at the text. It specifies SYMBOL, which does not change.

i would say no myself...since it says team symbol or team ability, and the team ability of a wildcard is to copy ta's, and the ta copy isn't permanent =/ but if you put two wildcard ta's next to each other (spiderman and minions of doom) then they have the same team ability, so therefore would fall under it. hope that helps :S

Yeah, I misread it. Your answer was better. WCs don't have the copied TA; they use it.

Mercenaries also use the TA. Thunderbolts, OTOH, possess whatever TA they choose, so if Antman has been Thunderbolted to JSA and is adjacent to Black Adam both will suffer the Mistrust penalty - they have the same team ability even though they do not have the same symbol.

Don't forget the Loyalty BFC...it causes the WC to possess the TA.

We never use BFCs at my venue, so I have little reason to remember them.
