depending on when you sent your item, I would run to the post office the first thing Monday morning and request that you stop shipment on your package.

Anyone that has unfinished business with NerdStereotype or CPMunk might do well to familiarize themselves with the info in the Popinjay thread, particularly who to contact on the Sturgis police force if you do not receive your items. I'm hoping these two were still building up their reps for a major scam further down the road though...
Kevlar, I am so sorry you got ripped so bad with you being new here. Try not to let it spoil you from trading here. Just make sure and do much checking before you trade again. I'm not saying you could have prevented this, because I almost trded with Nerd also. But having been ripped off before by the same person using the name Popinjay, I was a bit more weary. You can always use third party trade procedures in the future. Its a bit more of a pain, but for really good stuff thats so hard to lose, its better than someone ripping you off.
Don't forget to ask others around the 'realms trading community when checking out a potential trader, but even that is no guarantee. Like someone posted in a different thread, with online trading, there is always a level of risk. I just hate you lost that Batman. If you sent it with DC, or some other form of registration, you might be able to stop the shipping before it gets to them, or have your P.O. contact the Kalamazoo P.O. and inform them of the thief before they deliver it. Over-inflate the value of the clix if you need to, to get them to take action. Don't say its a game piece, say its a valuable piece of Batman collectible memorabilia. Lots of old school postal workers are collector's. Whether it be stamps or whatever. If you appeal to something familiar with them they will probably be more sympathetic to your cause. And the postal system around Sturgis(Kalamazoo is only 45 miles away) should be very familiar with the thieves in their community by now. Many of us on the realms have called to let them know for sure.
Nerdstereotype got banned? I had a deal set up with her but I had not mailed off yet...
what happened?
are you sure she just didn't change her caption to be funny? Says she was online yesterday, though she has not responded to my last two messages confirming the trade.

You can do that?
I did a trade with NS this past week, fortunately the pieces I sent weren't pieces I was too attached too, but is there actually a chance I could get the stuff back since I apparently won't be getting the figure I was trading for?

No, I banned her yesterday. In short I found evidence linking her to popinjay - they weren't necessarily the same person, but they were at the very least in league with each other.
thanks, i looked at the iTrader and his/her posts. seems to be an active member but now i've lost a chase...
One thing that alerted a few veteran traders about NerdStereotype is the fact that she (?) mostly had old feedback, from 2006 and earlier. Only a few points were given recently, and at least one of those was faked.
Also, when confronted about this and asked to send first or use a third party NerdStereotype just broke off communication completely. It happened to half a dozen people that I am aware of, so there was a definite pattern.
And a little advice to new traders: Trade with experienced traders first - apparently you got that (though my recommendation is to go for those with at least 50 references). But also, start out small. Trying to trade a chase figure straight out of the gates is just begging for the scammers to come sniffing.
One of the reasons I came here trading is that I had an extra KC Superman from Unleashed that I wanted to get rid of. That was when Unleashed was the latest DC set, so as you can imagine I got a lot of offers for him. However, none felt right. I did trade for other figures I needed though (and got burnt a few times in the process), and when I finally did trade KC Superman for a U Nightcrawler I had enough references to demand the other guy sent first.

So you're thinking that if my product hasn't arrived yet (I just looked online, it's only in Iowa right now) I should be able to contact them on the other end and stop delivery/get them to send it back?

I know someone has managed to do that in the past - cannot remember who at the moment though. So it's definitely worth a shot.

Anyone know which Post Office in Kalamazoo gets incoming mail? I looked up the Post Office there via Mapquest to get their phone number, only to learn there's six of the dang things.
