I got a trade offer from Skrull69. It sounded to good to be true, so I decided to do some research. It turns out the he sent me the same M. Steinmetz in Brooklyn New York address that he had used many times before. So this is just a heads up. Hope nobody sends him anything.

Nope. I also belong to another site, where I've been ripped off 3 times. So when I saw the deal he threw me, I got a little suspicious. I used that handy little search function on this site for m. steinmetz and a thread about some guy named lojo popped up.

wow, from whispered suspicion to full-blown witch-hunt in less than five minutes. Impressive.

And Galactus, it's not that hard to find info about lojo - there's four threads about him in the 'similar threads' window at the bottom of the screen alone.

The problem is that with this information posted in public it's difficult to give Skrull a fair and unbiased trial - just an adress is not enough to kick him out on, and now proof he might be lojo might just be a little too easy to find.
But still, it's good to be aware. I didn't go public with the accusations against NerdStereotype this summe until someone had already lost a Sinestro Batman... Hopefully nothing like this has happened this time.

Still, if anyone else has had dealings with skrull69 I'd love to hear about it.

I just saved someone from sending him a Thor Frog of Thunder. I realize that an address alone is not something to convict by, but after reading all 4 threads, I know I would'nt send him anything. The guy he was trying to get the Thor Frog from had a zero feedback rating also so I think he trys to prey on us. This forum isn't something that us newbies would check on a regular basis or know even existed. I wouldn't have known about it if I hadn't used the search feature on the top. Now that thing is genius.

Wow that thread is pretty much spot on. But like I said new traders wouldn't think to check here. In my opinion your thread should be sticked at the top of the trading forum. Then more of us new guys/girls would have a shot of checking it out.

The funny thing is that no matter where it is stickied it doesn't matter. The trade/sale rules are posted in their forums but not everybody reads them.

Just like how in the general discussion forum a smart well thought idea can get lost within a week, but a certain complaint can last for a month.

There is no way to win, but just try to do your best.

I totally agree that the guy is suspicious and if you do try to trade with him you should insist on using a third party.
Not sure there's enough evidence to conclusively prove it's lojo though. The investigation continues...
