I might bet everything on Nightwing for something like this. Using Outsiders on the opponent should really limit their chances to hit you. Takedown could lead them to being just really frustrated.
Alternately, V Hawkeye from FF might have the range and ability to just eventually get lucky against anyone.
What figures/ideas do you have? I'm curious how this is going to play out.

While not quite useful for this game, I did recently (mostly for a joke) run a Space Phantom pog vs. a silver age Avengers team with the following feats: Pym Particles, Infiltrate, Camouflage, Streak of Luck, Monster Hunter, Takedown, Nanoarmor, Lucky, Break, Entangle, Life Model Decoy, Armor Piercing, Nanobots, Double-Time, Endurance, Running Start, and Swingline.
After checking with the other player (along with the "judge" and the people watching), I tossed on Lazarus Pit. There was some question about if it was legal - I actually argued that since he didn't have a dial to click, it wasn't legal card to use. The others thought that since he could be ko'ed, it would be.
Then, just because it was a silly game, I was allowed to toss Mercenary on him. The logic was that since he was copying the actual heroes, he was becoming a 'friendly' character. And since he was friendly, the final piece of cardboard was T-Bolts. That last was mostly a 'penalty' card, just to add points to the total. Roughly 150 points of cardboard for a 9 point character.
We also made up a special power which was allowed Space Phantom to make a close range attack, and take over the other character.
The pog was pulled off the table, and I ran the other character until they got a click of damage. When an Avenger took a click of damage they got *two* action tokens (no pushing damage), I placed Phantom within four squares of the original target.
Used the bank map.
He made it through about eight rounds. Took over Giant Man and Iron Man. Survived two of the rounds via Laz Pit.
Silly game.
I am in awe of the cool and awesome people here on HCR!
T-Bolts (Bat Ally) 5
Pym Particles (Giant -- increased Breakaway/Giant Stride) 6
Opportunist 10
Contingency Plan 12
Fortitude 25
Heightened Reflexes 10
Force Field 10
Protected 8
Alias 3
Swingline 10 (+1 movement)
Vendetta 8 (+1 Attack: lots of people will be playing SI Human Elektra, Cr Nightwing, or other figs over 72 points)
Armor Piercing 10 (Against Impervious and see below)
Extended Range 10 (Used in conjuction with AP guarantees 1 dmg through so you can shoot out to 10 instead of 8) OR
Damage Shield 10 (Used w/AP does 1 Dmg against close)
The more I think about it, the more that I'd lean towards FF Vet Hawkeye if you want to win. He can use Trick Shot or Elite Sniper to ignore stealth, while T-bolting to Bat Ally or Mystics or whatever depending on your thinking. Or Alpha Flight for an AV bump.
I think Move and Attack will be important and his AV is solid, you can give him Pym Particles for even more ranged Defense or for some reason make him a giant... (make M+A close combat from a space out...?).
I think Move+Attack of some kind is going to be pretty important and I'd expect someone to run a Superman Robot with 100pts of feats and being able to out-range/out-move that kind of threat would make you a nightmare.
On the other hand, I really like your Nightwing build, but I'd sub in Forcefield for Swingline. I think you'll get more out of that limited damage reduction than a +1 to movement (since he's got L/C the whole way) and on that note, why not Lunge? I might take off Lucky Break (and gamble) for Lunge.
I hope you report back!

Just want to point out that if all your allowed is one character, this rule was not needed.
LAZARUS PIT
Choose a character.
When the character is KOd, remove it from the battlefield, place it on this card on its first KOd click, and then place a Special marker on the square where it was KOd. At the beginning of each player's turn, you may either heal the character of 1 damage or return it to the battlefield on the square with the Special marker. If you return the character to the battlefield, remove this Lazarus Pit from the game; roll one six-sided die at the beginning of each of your turns. On a result of 5 or 6, remove the Special marker from the battlefield. As long as the Special marker is on the battlefield, the character gains Battle Fury, Toughness, and Willpower; it may not use any of its other powers or its team ability.
When time expires, or if all other members of the character's force are KOd while the character is on this card, the character is KOd. The character awards victory points each time it is KOd.
Regarding the build, SI The Thing could actually do really well. With his consistently DV and good damage, he could take a hit and still swing. Plus, most characters you are likely to see will excel at range (like the Cap and Hawkeye suggestions below), and would really struggle based by a brick.
SI 104 The Thing 100
+ Fortitude 25
+ Repulsor Shield 25
+ Swingline 10 (tailor made for Thing since it lets him ignore hindering terrain AND gives him a +1 movement)
+ Shellhead 10 (extra boost early on to DV, or much needed boost once DV starts dropping but he's got Toughness AND Willpower via SP)
+ Lucky Break 5 (avoid a critical miss once)
+ Streak of Luck 5 (he's probably going to get missed a lot, so this could either really blunt another critical miss OR boost a critical hit)
+ Protected 8 (prefered) or Armor Piercing (if it must be exactly 100 points of feats)
198 or 200
I think that'd toast most of what has been suggested so far. Especially if you choose the right special objects for each opponent and map (Tombstone if you've got a lot of open map to cover, 3D Computer if you need to boost AV, etc).
And if you choose BFCs like Deep Shadows and Shrunk, then you won't even really need to worry about range.
This is my updated build from earlier after talking to one of my friends who is going to be at the event.
Nightwing
Takedown
Fortitude
Repulsor Shield
Armor Piercing
Damage Shield
Protected
Lucky Break
Stunning Blow
Heightened Reflexes
Life Model Decoy
Thanks for all your tips. I still am not sure exactly what i want to do but i will figure it out before tomorrow nights game.
I like this build a lot, but I would drop Repulsor Shield. Its not going to do much since he doesn't have damage resistance. I'd add swingline, loner and nanobots to replace it, and then sub LMD with Force Field so he can heal.
So this event passed. I was the first one knocked out of the battle. There were 9 people on one big 3d map. Everyone looked at my nightwing and went "lets gang up on him" but it took 4 people attacking me to take me out lol.
