been 2 weeks to the day about a trade i sent, i mailed out 2 fridays ago and have not heard back in a pm, nor recieved my figures back...should i expect to ever see either side of the trade? or am i being shafted?

Have you tried Pm'ing him on a status update?
I find it helpful to keep in communication with the other party, even if they just let you know why it's taking longer than usual. This at least gives me ease of mind.

This thread should be considered a forewarning to others attempting future dealings with Timashi. Just look at his iTrader stats... like a Dalmatian, his record's spotty. Even some of the positive ones noted long waiting. I'm not sure what the problem is, whether it's personal (bipolar disorder?) or otherwise.

We're close enough in iTrader scores that ordinarily I would have suggested a simulsend, but with his feedback, I said he'd need to ship first. He agreed readily enough, and everything seemed to be going fine. Now more than a week of silence. Sigh.

wrong area to post this thread dude, this is the trading thread. also you always gotta check who your trading with. if the offer is to good to be true prolly mostly it's gonna be a scammer. also reporting this to a mod isn't gonna really do anything they have many ppl on here who are having the same problem with other scammers on here.
best thing you can prolly do is maybe google his address and get his number to call him/her and see what is going on.

hello there I apologize to both th3madhatt3r & Tim Drake for my lateness. I have been sick with the flu and unable to mail both of there packages. I have been cheated in the past just like lots of us have and I dont plan on making anyone regret trading on this site because we are all hear so we can enjoy the game we all love so much. I will do my best to make it to the post office tomorrow(Top priority). I swear that I have never cheated anyone. I have just been on the wrong end of bad feedback due to lost packages and honestly forgeting to mail the package, thats it.

The underlined sentences, imo, conflicy with each other. Trading is a responsibility. "Honestly forgetting" means you're not taking the responsibility seriously.

Just my opinion.

I'm certainly willing to give Timashi the benefit of the doubt. He's young, and though it's not an excuse, inattentiveness is a frequent folly of the young.

Before I made the trade with him, I looked closely into his feedback, and the only one that accused him of "thievery" or cheating was from someone who had *very* little activity on the realms, enough so that it made me suspect of that particular rating. The other negative feedback was about a missing card (which is a big deal to some, but not to me usually) and failure to respond to PMs about that missing card. That last part is the concern, and again, falls under inattentiveness/irresponsibility. Hopefully he's learned his lesson - he was up front about the Magus he's sending me not having a card.

Like I said, I asked him to send first, simply because I've never dealt with anyone who had negative feedback before, and I told him that if everything went fine, simulsends would be no problem in the future. So far, a week's delay (especially if he's been sick) is far from the worst problem I've had trading on the realms.

So I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt. If he works at it, he can get beyond the past issues and develop a good rep from here on out.

If people keep accepting his poor habits and make excuses for him, I doubt very much he will get any better. Where's the motivation for him? If he can still get what he wants while putting up a piss-poor effort, why wouldn't he?

"Known associate"? How so? I see one trade between the two. And now I'm wondering what went wrong with npolly, because he seemed to have a long and illustrious trading career before it went south...

As for Timashi, I'm not trying to make excuses for him. The poor feedback I saw for him led me to think he's a young guy who screwed up, and might have since learned his lesson. A week of total silence calls that into question, and his last communication is...iffy at best. I'll see if he comes through with a DC# by Monday, and then I will render judgment.
