Oh I have no problem with April Fool's jokes. I have a problem with stupid lazy jokes. Posting "Hey look, Figure X is up" and then having a random link or a message that says "April Fools" is just lame. Not to mention multiple people do it. If you're going to do it, at least have a dial and a picture to use. If not then don't bother. Not to mention 99% of the people don't think it's real even before they click on the topic. Shouldn't an April Fool's joke actually fool someone?

Now that Sandra Wu-San... he/she knew how to pull a good prank.

Oh, I think you vastly over-estimate the intelligence of the average internet user. I'm guessing there have been more forehead slaps and facepalms this morning than you might imagine. Some folks still won't get it even AFTER the joke has been explained: "Yeah...okay...but where's the White Lantern Sinestro picture?"
