I've been thinking about the changes in strategy that you'd need to compete effectively in a Mega-Mega Crossover game (assuming that you were actually intending to KO your opponent's figures and one day finish the game). It seems to me that a lot of tournament staples are going to be next to useless. Telekinesis is almost mpossible to use, move and attack powers will only come into play once a decent number of characters have been KOd (so that your attackers have a position they can legally attack from!), and Probability Control will be tough to use.
One possibility is to focus on giants with range, especially giants that also possess Stealth, support powers, and/or some ways to avoind being easily counterattacked. CR Spectre is pretty good for range and high damage, Zzzax is decent (10), Awesome Andy deserves a look, Trigon is fantastic, Toyman could be great with the right support (Energy Explosion, and maybe a Superman Enemy to wildcard), and I'd give Steel a go. Attack right over the heads of your front rows and strike at your opponent's key figures.
A front row of Poison/Mastermind backed up by a second row of Mastermind fodder could be annoying, especially if you go first.
Another option is to seed a line of Pulse Wavers in your second or third row, and surround them with a combination of characters with activation clicks and characters with 19+ defence values. Space out your Pulse Wavers so that they don't hit each other, and ping multiple enemies per attack before they can get to you.
When I saw the Mega-Mega Crossover post my mind didn't even process that there could be a game played with the figures on that board.
But I've got to admit, front row would be full of Outwit, second row Charge and Quake, third row Energy Explosion. Or, better yet, my first row would be full of JL Icicle and AA Nightshade, using Barrier and Smoke Cloud all over the place.
However this is a silly topic and I don't want to ponder it any more. ;]

WIldcard's would be amazing, which makes Colossal boy and Toyman nearly broken good. big range giants would be amazing, your correct. Colossal's would also be ridiculous. I don't see anyone winning without two or three colossus. Zzaxxwould be awesome on his second click - duo target energy explosion for the win.
the more I think about this I think it really comes down to who has the most giants and whether they both have doctor strange.
Next time I'm in Sydney we'll have to play this out (note, I've never been to sydney)
Iron River Read my wife's comic or I will say mean things about your dog.
I suckered these guys into playing: Feedback Damage

Keep in mind that your front row will be right noext to your opponent's front row. Before you can Charge you need to open a space to Charge into; likewise Energy Explosion is going to need to open up line of fire (unless you're Toyman).
Nightshade is a great option, as you can place Smoke Cloud tokens beneath opposing characters. Better than Poison, arguably. But Barrier is going to be hard to use.
