I read them all. I like them all. They are all deadpool. Breakin the third barrier, crackin jokes both inside his head and out loud. Crazy, tryin to be a good guy but not really getting it hilarity. Like I said, I like and if you like deadpool, then any or all titles should be enjoyable.
Sigh... I wish I had something clever or witty to put here...
I read DP and have been for a long time. 4 titles a month is getting a bit much though. I could do without the DP team up or Deadpool Corps. the regular monthly and Merc with a Mouth line are solid though (the one where he carries around his disembodied Zombie Head!).
(not to be rude, but definitley to be a stickler, "Breaking the 4th wall" is the proper literary term for characters communicating directly to the audience or recognizing the medium used to tell their story.
what would you recommend for someone wanting to start reading Dead Pool?
Eigher Merc with a mouth or team up. Both good. Team up doesnt really follow a story, just a one shot every issue. Merc with mouth has a story, so choose from there.

I'm reading 3 of the 5 of them that are happening right now. Wade Wilsons War, which just started this past week, I'm not getting; nor have I been reading Merc with a Mouth, which is ending soon.
Deadpool Corps I'm doubtful I'll read on beyond the current arc unless they have a real good premise for the next one. Somehow, sticking multiple deadpools together in one comic isn't as entertaining as you might think.
So it's just the main series and Team-Up that I know I'm reading long term. And out of those two, I'd recommend Team-Up if you're looking for a suggestion. It has a miss here or there, but that's not anything you won't find in any other series, and between the one and done format allowing anyone to jump on or off at any point in the series and the crazy premises they can work with (such as my favorite thus far - Deadpool and Captain Britain changing nationalities for a few pages) makes it a much better series than I expected it to be when I realized that it actually was an ongoing series rather than a one-time joke.
I've never really liked Deadpool. Sure he's great in small doses, and a rare appearance is never a bad thing. However the recent surge in Deadpool overload is almost sickening. He has 4 monthlies and is appearing in damn near everything else. How long can this joke go on for? I mean, he's in Doom War? What?
I get the appeal, but he cheapens almost any story that he's in. Does anyone else feel this way?

Not exactly, but I do understand what you're talking about. No, I don't think he cheapens almost any story he's in, but the way Marvel has turned him into the new Wolverine has me feeling Deadpool fatigue. It's the reason why I didn't even bother checking WWW when it didn't strike me as having any twist on things that made it significantly different, and may even be part of the reason I'm not enjoying Deadpool Corps as much as I thought I would.
Who knows, maybe it's part of the reason I like Team-Up as much as I do - ensures Deadpool always has someone to play off of that, you know, isn't Deadpool.
He is what he is. I've liked him since he was dating Siren. Loooooong time ago. Hes had YEARS where there was no comic for him, and those years sucked. Yeah, 5 titles a month is a little much, but I've been enjoying them. One is over soon, and another is a 4 part only. All in all, I like everything hes in, and I'll buy it all. If you find its too much, just don't buy it all.
Sigh... I wish I had something clever or witty to put here...
Trust me, Im not. But the over saturation is hard to avoid. For instance, Doom War. Not the best story, but a fun an entertaining read (it's Doom being a complete beast), then for no reason Deadpool shows up? Huh? I don't want to spoil anything, but his inclusion makes no sense other than 'hey Deadpool is popular right'? Also the Shang-Chi one shot that just recently came out. Hey there's Deadpool again... huh?
Sure he deserves one book, his fan base is massive. I never read Cable/Deadpool but that sounds like the perfect venue for him. Now he's bleeding into every title. It's a lot harder to swallow than Wolverine being everywhere a few years back.
In the end Deadpool is a joke character, and right now he's a joke thats gone on for too long.
Wow. Super insulting dude. I don't think Deadpool is a joke character. He's my fav marvel character. I think its cool he shows up everywhere, even makes sense to me. All he does is travel around randomly and get in everyones way. Sorry you don't like him, but don't be insulting to those who do and say he has no business being in other comics. That just hurts my poor little fan boy heart. This happens with any character that gets a movie. Total over exposure. I won't argue thats whats happening. They'll tone it down after a bit. But please, don't get nasty about it.
Sigh... I wish I had something clever or witty to put here...
While I agree that he ought to be toned down a couple of notches in terms of overappearing everywhere, I do collect one of his titles. The selection of characters he teams up with in Deadpool Team-Up make that comic a must-buy for me. Since I don't read his other titles, I have avoided being burned out on the character.
...now, if we can just get Professor Pyg confirmed.
