Hey guys, I was wondering (as the title states) what your favorite theme team to field is.

Personally, I enjoy using Avengers and X-Men. I will soon add Skrulls to that list. What about you guys? What team to you just feel the need to field every time you get the chance?

I'm big into Avengers and Fantastic Four, soon to try X-men.

They are also a fun team to play. I am giving mine a rest until I manage to get a Volstagg tho. They just dont hold together well without him...

Avengers are sick. T-bolts or Alpha Flight are always helpful. I have plenty of teams we could discuss.

Fantastic Four. I just recently started looking into them, and I like the potential I see. When I first saw the F4 starter Mr. Fantastic, I thought he was going to be mediocre. I found out (through sucking it up and playing him) that he is quite good.

The X-Men are great. In theory. They always seem to fail me on the map. and the few times I gain an advantage, my dice fail me. Perhaps my venue is just cursed (Everyone who tries the X-Men face the same problems), but I no longer use them much. Perhaps you will have better luck than me. If you do, post it on this thread. haha I'm curious what happens to you. (I have a thread about X-Men teams. If you want, I can link it so you can see what we came up with)

Suicide Squad for sure.
Mainly lower powered but they pack quite a punch.

x-men and teen titans are my fave teams to play
I like playing teams that arnt so "mainstream" in heroclix too like marvel knights or justice league elite/international/europe which do play pretty well

My favorite are the Asgardians.

But if I want to go for the gold, it's Martial Artists for me.

Martial Artists: Gamora, HoT Cap, LE Boon (gives you that Crossgen/Mystic TA to copy), SI Iron Fist (WC), Karate Kid (WC), Shang-Chi (WC), Crisis Green Arrow, U IC Wolverine, etc.

DC: Justice Society
Marvel: Infinity Watch

I go through phases.

Early I loved playing Brotherhood and SHIELD teams. Unfortunately Brotherhood has never gotten the updates other teams have enjoyed, and SHIELD was hit with the cruel "rule-of-3" early, and was only truly competitive for a brief time. They enjoy a minor resurgence now, but only because of keywords.

I really enjoy playing classic Fantastic Four lineups, and they've not been pushovers since Fantastic Forces. I'll play them at point values from 200 (using She-Thing as a sub for Ben) through 500 (adding Sentinel of the Skyways) without hestitating.

I'm non-plussed by Avengers, only because 90% of Avengers teams I see are simply keyworded and not really anything like an actual lineup.

I've gotten a kick out of Sinestro Corps, but I lack the rarer figures, so my team builds are somewhat stagnant. I appreciate the variety in their dials better than the GLC.

I enjoy playing Legion teams, but I've had to opt for substitute dials for so many of them they barely look like the Legion. Luckily flatmatt has made some truly awesome mods for me. Unfortunately there isn't a great deal of variety in Legion dials, and the pre-Legacy dials are somewhat non-competitive.

I enjoyed playing Justice League of America as of late, and B&B has really helped with filling in some holes with decent pieces. The last game I build the original lineup, as per the (this weeks) DC Continuity. So it was the original seven, plus Black Canary. Next time I might drop Supes, Batman, and WWoman and replace them with Green Arrow for a lower point game. And then adjust accordingly. Might be fun.

But Gotham City is always a great standby for lower point games.

I like a lot of teams.

The X-Men and satellite teams, the Avengers, and Alpha Flight are my favorite Marvel teams. I don't usually put together exactly-accurate teams tied to specific issues (except Avengers 1 at 400 points... I love that team).

The Asgardians also became a much cooler possibility after HOT.

On the DC side, the JSA, the JLA in all its incarnations, and the Bat family are my favorite teams. I also like the Bat Enemies, though I don't always have great success with them.

I don't get much time to play lately, and most of the tourneys I've attended have been Sealed, so you don't get much opportunity to play real "teams" in Sealed.

For me it's either Gotham City or JLA or JSA I grew up on The Batman and The Justice League of America and I really dig the JSA lineup under Geoff Johns writing recently so I really want to see a Citizen Steel,Starman with both JSA and Legion Of Superhero Team abilities and Keywords and a Cyclone.

The all Monkeys team, with the 3 Super Apes, Grodd, Gorilla Man, Detective Chimp, Congorilla, and M'sieur Mallah has to be the coolest! Ever. And if the points are high, the albino ape Ultra-Humanite can be thrown in. Never won with it, go figure...
