Score: 75%. Is this figure worth 105 points, including Stunning Blow? Ranged attack for 3 damage, a token AND a web... soo tempting.
On a wildcard abuse team, with some Mystics or next to Holiday Killer, go for it. On a 600 point or bigger team, go for it. On a 300 point team, stick with SI Spider-Man.
Without a good TA, without Stunning Blow, now he can only deal damage up close. One missed Super Sense roll and you're eating a Tombstone or Dumpster.

When are we going to get a Spidey that web-swings (leap/climb with charge) into action? And I don't know about the Exploit, or even 4 dmg with CCE....he's usable but I'm not feeling it. L/C with stealth is great though, makes him a nice highly mobile harasser, but for 95 points, he won't see too many tournaments.
If I were making this fig I would have gone a this -"symbiote covered object"- spiderman can use super strength. when spiderman hits with a close combat attack while holding a object give the target a action token if the target has zero.- anyone with me here?
What I don't understand is the lack of super strength, isn't he stronger than Scarlet Spider and spiderman#07 from this set? black spidey=weak?
IMHO he is very comic accurate. I do believe he is stronger than both versions, and that is reflected in his exploit weakness and close combat expert clicks. He's all in your face with his above average strength. Plus, the symbiote was making him more violent - why would he want to use super strength to pick up a mailbox and smack you with it when he can have the pleasure of beating you to hamburger with his own fists?
he was not using the symbiote during this time. this is back in black spidey when he was just wearing the balck costume he made. He is more violent and direct cause he is PO'ed at kingpin for trying to kill aunt may, you should really read the background on the character cards. ;)
The Batman of Spider-Men, this dial doesn't disappoint. I like the colors on the dial more than the enhanced Spider-Sense version in WoS. EW, CCE - all better than Super Strength. It's a great, well rounded piece, and my new Go-to Spidey when I want something > 50 points. Leap/Climb & Stealth is just too good a combo, and a Wild Card too.

i like this spiderman, i really do, but it just seems like in the last few clicks he has more of a drop off than the other two, which he shouldn't considering the extra points you pay and the fact that he is supposed to be the strongest spidey
I like that this version is quite different from the other one. This one can hide in the shadows, but watch out if you get next to him. But you can't ignore him, with his nasty incap attack.
I'm probably leaning to play this one over the other one, but they're both great.
Very good dial, but the severe drop off towards the end irks me as well. I'd have expected Combat Reflexes, Super Senses, or Willpower on that last click. And you know I'll be running him with Stunning Blow in Golden Age games.
Vulture: I'll drop you from the sky and watch you drop like a rag doll! Spider-Man: And this'll be when? After Ock rips me limb from limb? Or after Venom eats my brains? Oh, I almost forgot; he also has dibs on my spleen...
Spider-Man Black has real potential. I love the Spider-Webbing and he has a very aggressive dial. His price is hefty and this is where I kind of downgrade his playability. 95 is a lot of points for a figure with no move and attack, support powers or a range value. Beginners and weaker players will have a difficult time using him and will get frustrated by the lack of 'point and click'. On the right team, with the right feats (Lunge and Ambush) this Spider-Man can be a close-combat fighter that can cause headaches especially when your lower mobility pieces are having to breakaway to do anything.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
